The baby boy weighed 2.9 kg and was abandoned by his mother at a camp just a few hours after birth. The authorities of Duc Lang commune (Duc Tho) are seeking relatives for the baby.
On the evening of March 18, a representative of the People's Committee of Duc Lang Commune (Duc Tho District, Ha Tinh) said that the unit is coordinating with the commune police force to notify relatives of the abandoned newborn baby.
That same afternoon, Ms. Thuy (residing in Son Quang village, Duc Lang commune, Duc Tho district) went to graze cows at her family's farm when she heard the sound of a baby crying. Approaching the abandoned farm, Ms. Thuy discovered a newborn baby boy with the umbilical cord still attached, so she reported it to the authorities.
Upon receiving the news, the People's Committee of Duc Lang commune went to the scene and sent medical staff to take the child to the headquarters for care and monitoring.
At the time of discovery, the baby still had its umbilical cord intact, was wearing clothes and was wrapped in a thin blanket.
"The baby boy was abandoned by his mother just a few hours after birth. The medical team bathed the baby boy and gave him milk. Currently, his health is normal. We have just announced to find the baby's mother. We hope the mother will come to her senses, reconsider and come to the People's Committee of Duc Lang commune to get her child back," said a representative of the People's Committee of Duc Lang commune.
Also according to the People's Committee of Duc Lang commune, within 7 days, if relatives do not come to receive the boy, the authorities will carry out the adoption procedures according to regulations.
