The 2026 Lunar New Year holiday is expected to last 4 weeks from February 9, 2026 to March 8, 2026 (ie December 22, 2025 to January 21, 2026 lunar calendar).
The fact that it is only March but Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade has already posted its Lunar New Year holiday schedule has caused a stir among many students. Many comments jokingly said, "The school is looking forward to the holiday more than the students", "It has not been half a year and the school has already announced the Tet holiday schedule", "There is already a Tet holiday schedule before the summer holiday", "It has just been a month since the Tet holiday and now there is another Tet holiday schedule".
Speaking to VietNamNet reporters, a representative of Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade said that the Tet holiday schedule is actually part of the 2025-2026 training schedule. The school's training schedule fully stipulates study time, exam time, summer vacation, Tet holiday, etc. The announcement of the training schedule allows students to proactively complete their study plans during the course.
