On the evening of August 4, according to information from Hung Yen Provincial Police, the Investigation Police Agency of Tien Lu District Police issued a decision to prosecute the case of abusing position and power while performing official duties that occurred from 2013 to 2014 in Thu Sy Commune, Tien Lu District.
At the same time, the police agency prosecuted the accused and issued an arrest warrant to temporarily detain and search the residence and workplace of Dao Van Tuyen (born in 1967, Chairman of the People's Committee of Thu Sy commune), Dao Van Sy (born in 1967, Chairman of the Fatherland Front Committee of Thu Sy commune), Dao Van Doan (born in 1970, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Thu Sy commune), Luong Cong Dau (born in 1962, former Chairman of the People's Committee of Thu Sy commune), Dao Xuan Hanh (born in 1957, former Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Thu Sy commune), Bui Van Quynh (born in 1961, former finance and accounting officer of the People's Committee of Thu Sy commune).
According to the investigation, from 2013 to 2014, the defendants took advantage of their positions and powers while performing official duties to organize meetings, discuss, and collect money illegally from 12 households in Thu Sy commune, Tien Lu district when implementing the land consolidation, with a total amount of 234,800,000 VND.
Currently, the Investigation Police Agency of Tien Lu District Police is continuing to investigate and expand the case, handling it according to the provisions of law.
