According to information obtained by Tuoi Tre Online , Mr. Phuong was prosecuted for his involvement in violations at the University of Education, Hue University many years ago.

The incident occurred when Mr. Phuong was still the principal of the University of Education, Hue University.

Before being temporarily detained, Mr. Phuong sent a request to member universities and units under Hue University to inform them of his sick leave. Mr. Phuong authorized Mr. Bui Van Loi - Vice President of Hue University to manage and handle the work of Hue University during this time.

Mr. Le Anh Phuong was born on February 20, 1974, in Quang Binh. He studied at Hue University of Education, majoring in mathematics, then studied for a master's and doctorate at Hanoi University of Science and Technology, majoring in information technology. In 2017, Mr. Phuong was appointed to the title of associate professor.

Mr. Phuong used to hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Hue University Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee - Principal of the University of Education, Hue University.

In July 2022, Mr. Le Anh Phuong was appointed by the Ministry of Education and Training to hold the position of Director of Hue University for the 2021-2026 term.
