Journalists and Public Opinion Newspaper receives Dedication Award at Press Cup 2024

(CLO) After 3 days of exciting and fierce competition with great matches and beautiful goals on the field of the Youth Football Training Center, Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), on the evening of November 30, in Hanoi, the Closing Ceremony, Award Ceremony and Gala of the 8th National Press Agency Football Tournament - Press Cup 2024 took place.

Attending the closing ceremony and awarding ceremony of the Press Cup 2024 Final Round were Mr. Le Quoc Minh, member of the Party Central Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department, President of the Vietnam Journalists Association, Head of the Steering Committee of Press Cup 2024; Mr. Nguyen Duc Loi, former member of the Party Central Committee, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists Association, Deputy Head of the Steering Committee of Press Cup 2024.

Mr. Le Quoc Minh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department, President of the Vietnam Journalists Association, Head of the Steering Committee of Press Cup 2024 spoke at the ceremony.

Speaking at the closing ceremony and awarding gala, Mr. Le Quoc Minh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department, President of the Vietnam Journalists Association, Head of the Steering Committee of Press Cup 2024 sent congratulations to the 9 teams that completed the matches, and congratulated the new champion of Press Cup 2024 - FC Voice of Vietnam (VOV).

After 8 seasons held in many provinces and cities from the South to the North, Mr. Le Quoc Minh highly appreciated Vietnam Family Magazine in the context of difficult economic and press situations, it has made many efforts, perseverance, initiative and creativity to maintain and create a meaningful playground for press agencies.

Mr. Le Quoc Minh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Chairman of Vietnam Journalists Association, Mr. Dang Khac Loi - Deputy Director of the Press Department and Mr. Ho Minh Chien - Editor-in-Chief of Vietnam Family Magazine awarded the gold medal and the 2024 Press Cup Championship to FC VOV.

Also at the closing ceremony and awarding gala, Journalist Ho Minh Chien - Editor-in-Chief of Vietnam Family Magazine, Head of the Organizing Committee of Press Cup 2024 emphasized that football is a competitive sport, every participating team wants to win, wants to score, wants to win the cup, but there is one thing more important than that, which is wanting to play beautifully, wanting to play with dedication.

That is the message, the core value that the Press Cup - the football tournament for national press agencies - has been aiming for for many years.

This year, the tournament has a greater significance as journalists are striving to compete and achieve many achievements to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Vietnam's revolutionary press day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2025). And, the Press Cup 2024 meeting point can be seen as the opening event for a series of cultural and sports activities towards this great festival.

“We believe that over the past 3 days, the 9 teams have had memorable experiences at My Dinh, Hanoi. The 8th Press Cup witnessed many beautiful goals, many attractive plays and many impressive images that left unforgettable memories for journalists”, shared the Head of the Organizing Committee of Press Cup 2024.

Accordingly, with 12 exciting and fierce matches with thrilling moves, beautiful and classy goals, the Press Cup 2024 championship belonged to FC VOV.

Although FC Military Radio and Television Center tried their best, they lacked a bit of luck in the penalty shootout and lost to FC VOV, receiving the second prize overall.

Two football teams FC of the Life and Society Reporters Club (Ho Chi Minh City) and FC of the Today's Rural Newspaper/Dan Viet received third prize.

The football teams of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Vietnam Television (VTV), Vietnam News Agency Club, Journalist Newspaper and Public Opinion Newspaper all received the 2024 Press Cup Contribution Award.

Journalist Tran Dinh Hung - Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Vietnam Family Magazine presented flags, flowers, honorary plaques and awards to the teams that won the Dedication Award. In which, Nha Bao and Cong Luan Newspapers both received the Dedication Award of the Press Cup 2024.

Player Nguyen Viet Hung (Journalist and Public Opinion Newspaper) scored the most goals; The best goalkeeper was goalkeeper Bui Xuan Hau (VOV).

In addition, the Organizing Committee also presented other important awards to the Referee Team of the Press Cup 2024 final match and outstanding individuals.

Specifically, the player who scored the most goals was Nguyen Viet Hung (Journalist and Public Opinion Newspaper); The best goalkeeper was goalkeeper Bui Xuan Hau (VOV).
