Strengthening the people's trust in the Party is an ironclad order.
The series of works "People's trust, Party's strength" by the group of authors: Tran Lan Anh - Ha Thi Hong Sam - Nguyen Quan Tuan - Tran Van Quoc - Nguyen Thi Huong - Quach Ha Duong - Nguyen Ba Quynh won the B prize of the 9th Golden Hammer and Sickle Award - 2024. This is a work that has excellently expressed the message: People's trust in the Party is the source of strength that makes the victory of the Vietnamese revolution or in other words, the strength of the Party lies in the trust of the people, when the people trust, the Party is strong. Therefore, maintaining the people's trust in the Party is not only a valuable lesson but also an important factor that determines the survival of the Party.
Journalist Nguyen Quan Tuan, representing the group of authors of the Journalists and Public Opinion Newspaper, received the B prize of the 9th Golden Hammer and Sickle Award - 2024.
In his closing speech at the 6th Central Conference, 12th tenure, the late General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong emphasized: “If we do things that please the people, the people will trust us and our regime will survive, and our Party will survive. On the contrary, if we do something that goes against the people’s will and lose their trust, we will lose everything.”
Recently, in the article “Continuing to strongly innovate the Party’s leadership and governance methods, an urgent requirement of the new revolutionary stage”, General Secretary To Lam clearly stated: The Party’s leadership ensures that power truly belongs to the people, the State is truly of the people, by the people and for the people. The Party comprehensively leads the country and is responsible for all successes and shortcomings in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.
And throughout the history since the Party was founded, the Party has been striving every day to further strengthen that belief because the strength of the Party lies in the people's trust, in the support of all the people. But how to strengthen and multiply the people's trust in the Party, so that our Party becomes stronger and stronger? And the question is why must we strengthen the people's trust and how can we achieve that goal in the new conditions of national construction and development?...
With that line of thinking, the series of works has strongly expressed the message: If the people trust, the Party is strong. Maintaining the people's trust in the Party is not only a "bloody" lesson but also an important factor deciding the survival of the Party. Therefore, strengthening the people's trust in the Party is an iron command, the ultimate task of our Party in the current period...
The journey is a bridge between the Party and the people.
To carry out the series of works, demonstrating that "iron order", the group of reporters from the Journalists and Public Opinion newspaper conducted research and went to the areas that are the fences of the Fatherland to clearly see that the people's trust is the strength of the Party. From the highway connecting trade to promote regional connectivity, expanding the development space for the "fence land" of Cao Bang; the wide asphalt roads, on both sides are lush, green coffee, pepper, and durian gardens, modern, spacious tiled-roof houses... in the Central Highlands of Dak Lak; the warm affection between the army and the people in Simacai - Lao Cai, where the altitude is up to 1,800m above sea level of Lao Cai... All are sweet achievements from the consensus of the Party's will and the people's hearts.

Creating that, the Party has succeeded in building and consolidating the people's trust through practical and meaningful actions. Thanks to that, our Party's trust in the people's hearts will always shine brightly, and the people will always be loyal to the Party. And in that, the core role of the Army, together with the Party committees and local authorities, has created solidarity and unity among the people, the army's relationship with the people is like "fish with water".
The group of reporters also had discussions with leaders of the Ministry of National Defense, local leaders, National Assembly deputies, and experts to record opinions on consolidating and multiplying people's trust in the Party with very specific actions, from: Promoting the role of the army in building and defending the Fatherland, fostering people's trust; developing the economy - society; building new rural areas; preventing and combating corruption and negativity; preserving and promoting revolutionary traditions; reaching consensus and unanimity to join hands in developing infrastructure...
Talking about the enthusiasm of the group of authors in this series, journalist Ha Hong Sam shared: “In fact, for each of us journalists, any topic we write for readers is an issue that we are passionate about and concerned about. Particularly with the topic of the Party, for Party member journalists like me, the Party, Uncle Ho as well as this topic always hold a very special position. From the direction and close supervision of the Newspaper Editorial Board, my colleagues and I at the Newspaper always devote the utmost care, thoroughness and enthusiasm to the works written about the Party, Uncle Ho in general, and Party building in particular. The series of articles winning the B prize today is the “sweet fruit” of those efforts.”
Referring to the challenges in implementing the topic, journalist Hong Sam said that Party building is a very attractive topic with a lot of room for exploitation, but how to exploit and convey the message to ensure 3 factors: attractive, accurate, and distinct is a challenge that is not easy to overcome.
And to resolve these three factors, journalist Hong Sam believes that the prerequisite is a wealth of knowledge about Party building work. Understanding, correct understanding, clear understanding, and deep understanding of Party building work will help journalists have a thorough and comprehensive view, thereby explaining the problem and conveying messages accurately, objectively, and attractively. If understanding is not correct or deep, it will easily lead to a one-sided and superficial view, even wrong from the use of the specialized content of Party work.
