The news that the members of the group Fifty Fifty filed a lawsuit to suspend their exclusive contract with the management company Attrakt at the Seoul Central Court at the end of June is still entangled in an endless controversy.

At the first mediation session, the two sides still failed to reach a common agreement. This means that the lawsuit will continue to drag on and the remuneration for the global hit Cupid will continue to be "suspended" and cannot be paid.

In the latest development, fans are worried that the lawsuit will prevent Fifty Fifty from receiving compensation from sales of the group's album "The Beginning", scheduled to be released on September 22.

Therefore, fans have spoken out to warn the audience and called for a boycott of the album to avoid trouble for the idols.

Before Fifty Fifty, the group Loona was also involved in a similar lawsuit with their management company BlockBerry Creative. The fan community also decided to boycott completely, not buying the album, not listening to the music as a move to support their idol.

Previously, on June 19, four members of Fifty Fifty, including Keena, Sio, Saena, and Aran, filed a lawsuit on the grounds that Attrakt violated the agreement, causing the group's trust in the company to collapse.

According to the members' legal representatives, Attrakt did not care about the artists' feelings and health, repeatedly ignoring the problems the group encountered.

In addition, this female group also accused the management company of paying salaries in a non-transparent manner, with many settlements not being properly disclosed.

"Despite their young age, the four members tried their best to think and act independently. However, Attrakt did not listen to the members' voices, claiming that this was an attempt at blackmail by an outside force, arbitrarily revealing the reason for a member's surgery without asking for their opinion first.

This is a breach of contract. Members are extremely disappointed in this.

We ask Attrakt not to defame the Fifty Fifty members anymore, at least for the time being. The four members just want to return to their fans as soon as possible," the group's legal representative said in a statement.

The lawsuit between Fifty Fifty and management company Attrakt is still ongoing.

On Attrakt's side, the unit said that there was an "outside force" that lured the members to violate the contract during the group's break due to a member having to undergo surgery due to illness.

Notably, Attrakt has named music distribution company Warner Music Korea as the party involved in the matter.

In the first mediation session, the management company still maintained its stance of wanting the members to return.

"Any payment issues can be resolved after Fifty Fifty returns. As long as they are willing to return to the company, we will take all necessary measures to ensure the team receives normal support with full resources," the company stated.

However, the four members maintained their original stance.

Fifty Fifty is a rookie girl group that debuted on November 18, 2022 with “The Fifty”, consisting of 4 members Aran, Keena, Saena, and Sio. The talented girl group will return to the music scene in March 2023 with “Cupid”.

The group's name means "50 ideals, 50 realities", carrying the message that every job will have a 50% chance of being real, a 50% chance of being a dream, and they always strive to be 100% for their fans.

The group is oriented by the company as a music group "with bright, hopeful ideals in a difficult real life".
