On March 13, at the event announcing the schedule for the Miss Universe 2025 contest, Mr. Nawat Itsaragrisil - President of Miss Grand International attracted attention when he received an additional 80 million baht in sponsorship, bringing the total amount to 195 million baht (more than 143 billion VND).

Previously, he received 115 million baht from sponsors right after buying the copyright of Miss Universe Thailand.

At the event, Mr. Nawat shocked everyone when he declared: "Don't copy Miss Universe, the contest is unique and 'unique' with Miss Grand International".

He also clearly distinguished the style between the two competitions: "If you like entertainment and fun, watch Miss Grand International. But if you prefer luxury and elegance, come to Miss Universe."

Miss Universe President Anne Jakapong Jakrajutatip also affirmed the brand development strategy based on the beauty pageant, media platform and commercial products. "Miss Universe is not just an annual contest but also a symbol of women's empowerment," she shared.

The 74th Miss Universe pageant will take place in Thailand with main events taking place in Bangkok, Pattaya and Phuket. The final night will take place on November 21 (Vietnam time). This is the fourth time Thailand has hosted the pageant, following 1992, 2005 and 2018.
