According to Dr. Christopher Nguyen, founder of Aitomatic Company, AI does not compete for jobs, does not replace, but only complements human activities.

The AISC 2025 International Conference, taking place on March 12 in Hanoi, was organized by the National Innovation Center (NIC) in collaboration with Aitomatic Company - the owner of the DXA Factoty factory specializing in providing industrial platforms to create AI products combining in-depth industry knowledge and advanced AI technology in the US.
Vietnam has many advantages in developing AI and semiconductors.
Speaking at the Seminar on the AI-Semiconductor Revolution in Silicon Valley - an activity in the AISC 2025 event series, Dr. Christopher Nguyen said: "Vietnam is one of the countries with the fastest development in broadband, just behind the US and Japan, ahead of India and China. This is the foundation for developing AI and semiconductor technology industries.
Moreover, in the recent wave of global FDI investment shifts, Vietnam has become the destination of many technology investors from the US, South Korea, Japan and Taiwan. Therefore, Vietnam has many advantages in developing the AI and semiconductor technology industry in the coming time. However, to become a stronghold for AI investment, Vietnam must prepare better in terms of infrastructure, aiming to become a regional AI center."
The trend of applying AI in the fields of production, business, and finance is inevitable, but Dr. Christopher Nguyen also affirmed: "AI will not replace humans, it will only supplement human activities. For example, even in high-tech fields such as semiconductor chip manufacturing, AI can help optimize the chip design stage."
The problem with the development of the semiconductor and AI industries today is the crisis of lack of human resources and talent for the semiconductor industry. Even in the US, there is a shortage of human resources for the semiconductor technology industry, so the application of AI in semiconductor chip production is becoming more and more popular.

AI applications in Vietnam are increasingly popular
In Vietnam, the application of AI to support human activities is also being promoted by many businesses.
Sharing at the workshop, Mr. Bui Hai Quan, Vice President of VPBank said: "The bank's "digital pieces" are increasingly developing and contributing positively to the common ecosystem. In which, the VPBank NEO application attracts more than 10 million users, processing about 600 million transactions per year. OPES - a digital insurance company in the non-life sector, will achieve revenue of VND 2,600 billion in 2024 with only 110 employees.
Be app - starting out as a ride-hailing app - has now become a leading super app operated by a 100% Vietnamese team, serving 12 million users with tens of millions of transactions per month.
In addition, Cake by VPBank, launched in early 2021, has become the leading digital bank in Vietnam with only 250 employees, but serves up to 5 million customers, processing an average of 700,000 credit applications per month. In February 2025, Cake was recognized in the top 100 digital banks in the world, and was also honored as the best digital bank in Vietnam."
Speaking to thousands of experts and representatives of global technology corporations attending the forum, Mr. Vu Quoc Huy, Director of NIC (Ministry of Finance) said that Vietnam is entering the 4th industrial revolution and artificial intelligence and semiconductors play an important role.
To realize the desire to turn Vietnam into a global technology cooperation base, since 2019, the Government has promoted the development of AI and semiconductor technology. Accordingly, the Government has approved a project to train semiconductor human resources by 2030, with a vision to 2050, with the goal of training 50,000 semiconductor engineers, including 5,000 AI engineers.
In addition, the Government has established a National Steering Committee for Semiconductor Development, approved a strategy for semiconductor industry development, and cooperated with partners such as Samsung and the University of Arizona to train semiconductor and AI engineers.
There are currently 14 universities participating in training semiconductor and AI engineers, and in December 2024, the Government signed an agreement with NVIDIA Corporation to build an AI research and development center and an AI data center in Vietnam, Mr. Huy added.
These are favorable conditions for global technology corporations to come to Vietnam to cooperate in developing AI and semiconductors.
