When can it be observed from Vietnam?

(NLĐO) - Despite receiving "bad news" about the blood moon event in March, observers from Vietnam will soon receive a spectacular "compensation".

On March 13th and 14th, observers from six continents – including researchers currently in Antarctica – will be able to witness the long-awaited blood moon event.

However, according to Time and Date, Vietnam was outside the visible area of ​​this lunar eclipse.

The best viewing areas are most of the Americas, parts of Antarctica, and parts of Greenland, where the total lunar eclipse – also known as the "blood moon" – can be seen.

Meanwhile, other parts of the Americas, as well as parts of Europe, Asia, Africa, and Oceania, will see a partial lunar eclipse.

The event will begin with a penumbral lunar eclipse at 10:57 AM on March 14th, Vietnam time, then gradually transition to a partial eclipse, and finally a total eclipse at 1:58 PM.

The event will be completely over by 5 PM on the same day.

With the entire event taking place in the morning local time, it's certain that Vietnamese people won't be able to see any of the stages.

However, the Moon will "reward" us on September 7th and 8th. This September blood moon event is the second and final blood moon of 2025, with viewing areas covering Asia, Europe, Africa, Oceania, and Antarctica.

Vietnam was located right in the middle of the area where the total lunar eclipse, also known as the blood moon, could be observed, with the peak occurring at nearly 2 AM on September 8th.

Unlike the blood moon in March, people in most of the Americas will not be able to see the event occurring in early September.
