DNVN - For the first time, more than 1,000 leaders and experts with the participation of big names such as Google, Nvidia, IBM, Meta, Intel, TSMC, Samsung, MediaTek, Tokyo Electron, Panasonic, Qorvo, Marvell and technology corporations from Silicon Valley (USA) gathered at the International Conference on Artificial Intelligence and Semiconductors (AISC) 2025.
The AISC 2025 conference opened on the morning of March 13 in Hanoi, gathering more than 1,000 leaders and experts with the participation of big names such as Google, Nvidia, IBM, Meta, Intel, TSMC, Samsung, MediaTek, Tokyo Electron, Panasonic, Qorvo, Marvell and technology corporations from Silicon Valley (USA).
This affirms Vietnam’s position in the global artificial intelligence (AI) and semiconductor industry. By proactively connecting and promoting international cooperation, Vietnam has affirmed its reputation on a global scale, creating a solid stepping stone to participate more deeply in the high-tech industry value chain.
The AISC 2025 Conference program includes main activities: thematic seminars on "The semiconductor technology revolution - AI in Silicon Valley", "The convergence of semiconductors and AI: Breakthrough factors creating a new cycle of opportunities" (March 12 at the National Convention Center); exhibition, investment and business connection; policy forum "Vietnam proactively develops the semiconductor and AI industry in the new era" (March 14, 2025 at the National Innovation Center) with the participation and direction of the Prime Minister of Vietnam.
Speaking at the opening of the conference, Mr. Vu Quoc Huy - Director of the National Innovation Center emphasized: "AISC 2025 Conference is a forum for academic exchange, an opportunity for Vietnam to affirm its position in the regional technology race.
This event will help domestic enterprises orient their development strategies, improve their innovation capacity and promote sustainable development of the high-tech industry."
Dr. Christopher Nguyen - founder of Aitomatic shared that the efforts of the Vietnamese Government in promoting the development of AI and semiconductors are showing the right direction, in line with the shifting trend of the global technology value chain.
“AISC 2025 shows strong interest from the international community, affirming Vietnam's attractiveness as a strategic destination in the high-tech sector. The combination of national vision and international investment demand from developed economies such as the US, Japan, South Korea, etc. has created great attraction for the conference, opening up many important opportunities for the development of the AI and semiconductor industry in Vietnam,” said Dr. Christopher Nguyen.
AISC 2025 focuses on discussing emerging technology trends in AI and semiconductors, including the revolution of chip design and manufacturing, the potential of advanced semiconductor architectures, and strategic policies to enhance global cooperation. Key topics in the conference sessions include innovation in AI-powered chip design; performance and energy efficiency solutions in semiconductors.
Notably, on March 13, a ceremony will be held to announce a number of Vietnamese business organizations officially joining the AI Alliance - a global technology alliance founded by IBM, Meta and leading academies. The AI Alliance currently has more than 160 members, creating a global AI ecosystem, supporting joint research, open source development, technology standardization and responsible AI application.
The AI Alliance promotes open, collaborative, and transparent AI development, helping businesses access cutting-edge AI technology without relying on proprietary platforms.
By becoming members of the AI Alliance, Vietnamese businesses can directly connect with the industry's "giants"; access advanced AI technology, participate in global cooperation networks, benefit from joint research and open source, and enhance Vietnam's technological position in the global ecosystem.
