41 contestants entered the final round of Miss Vietnam 2024 contest

The Miss Vietnam 2024 contest is directed by the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Ministry of Education and Training, Tien Phong Newspaper and Hoang Thanh Media Joint Stock Company.

At a press conference on March 20 in Hanoi, announcing the final round of the contest, the Organizing Committee said that this was the first time the contest had organized nationwide recruitment, attracting thousands of students interested in the contest, including hundreds of students who were candidates. The Organizing Committee continued to adhere to the criteria of honoring natural beauty, not accepting candidates who had undergone cosmetic surgery, while emphasizing four core values: Beauty, culture, intelligence and dedication.

Along with innovations in scale and criteria, the Organizing Committee produced a reality TV show for the first time to provide contestants with a diverse space for activities and experiences, and at the same time, it was an opportunity for contestants to show off their beauty, talent and leave a stronger impression in the public's mind.

The Organizing Committee of the Miss Vietnam 2024 contest spoke to the press at a press conference on March 20 in Hanoi.

The preliminary round took place on March 9 in Ho Chi Minh City and on March 13 in Hanoi. The number of applications in the preliminary round in the North was nearly double that in the South. Candidates went through the following rounds: anthropometric test and direct interview with the Jury. After careful consideration among many promising candidates, the Jury selected 44 candidates for the final round. However, 3 candidates had personal reasons and could not continue to accompany the contest. Therefore, the final round of the contest will have 41 candidates.

Immediately after selecting the best candidates in the Northern preliminary round, the 41 best contestants entered the common house to record for the reality TV show. In addition to diverse activities in Hue, Hanoi..., during the journey of the final round, the contestants will participate in the 66th Tien Phong Marathon National Championship in Quang Tri - an event towards the 50th anniversary of Quang Tri's liberation and 50 years of national reunification. The final night of the competition is expected to take place in Hanoi in April 2025.
