Ministry of Education and Training does not adjust the 2025 high school graduation exam schedule

On March 20, the Ministry of Education and Training sent an official dispatch to the Departments of Education and Training of localities including Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Ninh Binh, Nghe An, and Quang Tri regarding these localities' proposal to consider adjusting the time to organize the 2025 High School Graduation Exam.

The document clearly stated that the Ministry of Education and Training acknowledged and highly appreciated the initiative of the Departments of Education and Training in proposing adjustments to the high school graduation exam schedule to meet practical needs in localities and other actual situations.

However, after considering many factors, the Ministry of Education and Training decided to keep the 2025 high school graduation exam schedule as announced in the 2024-2025 school year plan (according to Decision No. 2045/QD-BGDDT dated August 1, 2024).

The 2025 high school graduation exam will take place on June 26 and 27.

Keeping the exam schedule as announced helps stabilize the psychology of students and parents and does not affect other activities in the education sector.

The Ministry of Education and Training requests that the Departments of Education and Training closely coordinate with relevant units to implement the 2024-2025 school year plan, organize the 2025 High School Graduation Exam according to plan and ensure safety, seriousness, and compliance with regulations.

According to the 2024-2025 school year plan of the Ministry of Education and Training, the 2025 high school graduation exam is expected to take place on June 26-27. This is also the first school year that students nationwide will take the high school graduation exam according to the 2018 General Education Program.

Previously, regarding the country's implementation of the arrangement and merger of provinces and cities and the completion of district-level tasks according to Conclusion 127/2025 of the Politburo and the Secretariat on implementing research and proposing to continue arranging the organization of the political system, leaders of a number of local Departments of Education and Training proposed that the Ministry of Education and Training move up the high school graduation exam schedule to ensure the rights and psychological stability of students, while facilitating the preparation work of localities to organize the exam safely, seriously and in accordance with regulations.
