After a period of testing and completing procedures related to technical safety, 17 trains of metro line No. 1 Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien have been inspected and granted safety certificates.
Specifically, the leader of the Urban Railway Project Management Board said that 17 trains of the Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien urban railway line No. 1 have been officially granted certificates of quality, technical safety and environmental protection for railway vehicles by the Vietnam Register.
The Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien metro train has been affixed with an inspection stamp.
This is an important task, to ensure that the trains have fully met the standards and conditions of quality, safety and environment, thereby being qualified to operate passenger transport in the coming time.
Along with that, the Urban Railway Management Board has made efforts and focused all resources to implement key tasks and resolve difficulties and problems.
To date, the project has completed 100% of the construction volume and is in the process of carrying out procedures according to regulations to complete and put the project into commercial operation.
Currently, the Urban Railway Management Board and the Urban Railway One Member Co., Ltd. are actively coordinating in the process of preparing for the operation and exploitation of urban railway line No. 1.
Coordinate the implementation of the plan to deploy tasks to effectively operate and exploit urban railway line No. 1 in Ho Chi Minh City, Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien route such as training, acceptance, handover, trial operation... advise on approval of the pilot project to exploit some urban railway infrastructure assets of the city.
The inspection stamp ensures that all standards and conditions on quality, safety and environment are met.
According to plan, metro line 1 is expected to be officially put into operation on December 22.
Previously, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee issued a decision on service ticket prices for metro line 1. According to the decision, one-way tickets for metro line 1 range from 7,000 - 20,000 VND (depending on the distance) for cash users.
People can buy one-way tickets without using cash, the price ranges from 6,000 to 19,000 VND. Metro Line 1 is 19.7km long with 3 underground stations and 11 elevated stations, connecting the center of Ho Chi Minh City with the eastern areas such as Thu Duc and Di An (Binh Duong).
