Heartbreaking story of a baby girl who lost her father when she was only 3 days old, growing up with meals of soy sauce with her grandparents

Tran Thanh Truc , born in 2012, 7th grade student, Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Secondary School, Cam Ranh city, Khanh Hoa province. Thanh Truc is living with her mother and 2 brothers.

Thanh Truc's father died of liver cancer. At that time, she was only 10 months old. From childhood to adulthood, she had no memories of her father. Truc's mother is Huynh Thi Chung, born in 1972. Chung is a freelancer, but due to poor health, frequent illness, heart, joint, and blood pressure disorders, she cannot work regularly, so her income is very unstable.

Truc's older brother, Tran Minh Tri (1996), has been mentally ill since he was 3 years old due to a febrile seizure. Tri often has seizures, causes trouble, and destroys things in the house. During normal times, Tri still works as a construction worker to earn extra money. The second brother, Tran Cong Thuc (2002), works in a seafood company. Now, Thuc is the main breadwinner for the family.

Thanh Truc sympathizes with her mother's hard work, so after school she helps her mother.

Truc's family is near-poor, Tri alone receives 750,000 VND/month in support, Chung receives nearly 500,000 VND/month as a single mother taking care of her child. However, this amount is not enough to cover living expenses and medicine for Chung and Tri.

There were days when Chung was sick and had to stay home, unable to walk, so she had to write a note for Truc to go to the neighbor’s house to borrow money to buy medicine. Truc cried every time she remembered the times her mother was sick. She just wished her mother had good health to stay by her side for a long time.

The 13-year-old girl studies hard, hoping for a brighter future.

MC Duong Hong Phuc burst into tears when he witnessed the plight of Thanh Truc's family. The male MC was heartbroken when he saw the 13-year-old girl having to borrow money from neighbors to buy medicine for her mother. "The girl only thought about her mother, only worried about her mother's illness, wished her mother would be healthy, but never mentioned her dream ," said Duong Hong Phuc.

Model Tu Hao was also moved by Truc's love for her mother. She is still young but cares for her mother every little thing. The female model believes that Thanh Truc lacked her father's love since she was little, so she devoted all her love to her mother. She hopes that Chung will try to take care of her health so that she can be a support for Thanh Truc and her siblings.

Another case in the program is Le Ngoc Tam Binh , born in 2012, a 7th grade student at Tran Hung Dao Secondary School, Ninh Son District, Ninh Thuan Province. He is living with his grandparents and siblings.

Since he was very young, Binh did not have a complete family. His father died in a traffic accident when he was only 3 days old. More than a year later, his mother also left and had a new family. Binh grew up in the love and care of his grandparents.

Binh's grandparents are both over 70 years old. He has had two strokes and a traffic accident a year ago, so his health is very weak. The head wound from the accident has not yet fully healed. His grandmother has memory loss, sometimes remembers and sometimes forgets, and has high blood pressure so she cannot work.

Because the family is not well off, Binh's siblings had to drop out of school early. His older sister, Le Thi Nhu Huynh, born in 2004, currently has no stable job and an unstable income. His older brother, Le Quoc Huy, born in 2009, also dropped out of school after finishing 9th grade to work to help the family. About a month ago, Huy went to Ho Chi Minh City to learn auto repair, but because he has to work while studying, he has not received any salary.

Currently, the family has no stable source of income and depends on the support of the children's uncle. Sometimes when the family runs out of rice or gas, the uncle sends money home for the grandparents and children to live on.

Grandparents are always the spiritual support of the three sisters.

Because of the family's difficult circumstances, Binh and her siblings often lacked food and clothing. The family's daily meals were mainly rice with soy sauce, and sometimes a few dried fish. She often skipped breakfast, and it took a long time for her grandparents to save some money for Binh to buy food. No matter how much money they had, they spent it all on their grandchildren. Every Tet holiday, Binh and her siblings were not allowed to buy new clothes.

Having lost their father at an early age and their mother not being around, the biggest worry of the three Binh sisters is losing their grandparents, the only support they have had since childhood. MC Duong Hong Phuc hugged Binh to encourage and comfort her. The male MC was moved when Binh mentioned the only family photo she had, a photo taken before Binh was born. He choked up because he felt helpless before the dream of a child, wishing to take a family photo with all members.

For Binh now, having a complete family photo is impossible...

Singer Ngo Kien Huy could not hide his emotion when witnessing the scene of a family with only the elderly and children living together. He was worried about the health of Binh's grandfather because he was old and had just had a car accident but still tried to take care of the orphaned children.

Backstage, singer Ngo Kien Huy said he often watches Vietnamese Family Home with his family. Every time he watches the show, he has to control his emotions to not cry because every time he cries, his mother often teases him. However, many times he cannot hold back his tears when he sees the difficult circumstances of the children in the show.

Ngo Kien Huy admits that he is a tough person, so in the program he always tries to control his emotions, always wanting to bring positive energy to families. He promises to work with model Tu Hao to do their best to complete the program's challenges, bringing valuable rewards to children in difficult circumstances.
