According to Ms. Phan Bich Thien, the Vietnamese community abroad is an inseparable part of the Vietnamese nation. Therefore, it is necessary to focus on building the Great National Unity bloc in the Vietnamese community abroad to unite and promote more effectively the potential of Vietnamese people abroad to contribute to the homeland. In this, the role of Vietnamese associations is very important.

In the Vietnamese community abroad, the need to meet, participate in activities, and share in an association is growing... Therefore, associations are the places where people can connect and gather the strength of each person according to each subject, in each field, and have common points.

Building strong associations means taking advantage of the potential of Vietnamese people of all classes and groups in the community, contributing to building great national unity and implementing people-to-people diplomacy activities more effectively.

Especially in building the Great National Unity bloc abroad and people's foreign affairs, we need to focus on promoting the role of exemplary overseas Vietnamese who are well-integrated and prestigious not only in the Vietnamese community but also have influence on the host society to gather people.

Ms. Phan Bich Thien, President of the Vietnamese Women's Association in Hungary and President of the Vietnamese Women's Forum in Europe, visited the photo exhibition displayed at the 10th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

In her speech to the Congress, Ms. Phan Bich Thien presented some experiences in community connection and people-to-people diplomacy activities such as: Connecting and linking associations on a regional and continental scale; Association activities need to be in-depth, truly meaningful and effective; Bringing association activities beyond the scope of the Vietnamese community, towards the host country and internationally; Creating and expanding forms of proactive people-to-people diplomacy from both sides; Taking advantage of the advantages of the digital revolution era in activities.

In particular, the presentation emphasized how to convey love for the homeland, national pride, and Vietnamese language to future generations, and mobilize the young generation to participate in union work.

In addition, in her speech, Ms. Phan Bich Thien also proposed that domestic agencies support overseas Vietnamese in building national solidarity and people-to-people diplomacy to organize the Great National Solidarity Day abroad.

We should organize the National Unity Day abroad. We can first pilot it in some areas with strong community movements, then learn from the experience and expand it to other countries.

In addition, it is necessary to enhance the role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front towards the overseas Vietnamese community: Promote the role of the members of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front who are overseas Vietnamese to more widely propagate the role of the Fatherland Front. During the visits and working sessions of high-ranking Vietnamese leaders to other countries, the participation of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front is required.

At the same time, it is necessary to support the legal basis for overseas Vietnamese. In order to build a great national unity bloc, overseas Vietnamese must first truly feel that they are equal members of the Vietnamese nation. Therefore, laws related to the rights of overseas Vietnamese also need to be amended and adjusted so that overseas Vietnamese are equal to those in the country.
