Hanoi maintains stable 12 areas for 10th grade admission

Admission areas for grade 10 public high schools in the 2025-2026 school year are expected to remain stable as last year with 12 admission areas.

In order to help students have a basis for registering their wishes to enter grade 10 of public high schools in the 2025-2026 school year, Hanoi divides districts, towns, and cities into 12 enrollment areas.

It is expected that these enrollment areas will remain stable as in the 2024-2025 school year.

12 recruitment areas in Hanoi are specifically as follows:

Admission area 1 includes Ba Dinh and Tay Ho districts.

Admission area 2 includes Hoan Kiem and Hai Ba Trung districts.

Recruitment area 3 includes Dong Da, Thanh Xuan, Cau Giay districts.

Recruitment area 4 includes Hoang Mai district and Thanh Tri district.

Recruitment area 5 includes Long Bien district and Gia Lam district.

Enrollment area 6 includes Dong Anh, Soc Son and Me Linh districts.

Enrollment area 7 includes Bac Tu Liem, Nam Tu Liem districts and Hoai Duc and Dan Phuong districts.

Enrollment area 8 includes Phuc Tho, Ba Vi districts and Son Tay town.

Enrollment area 9 includes Thach That and Quoc Oai districts.

Enrollment area 10 includes Ha Dong district and Chuong My and Thanh Oai districts.

Admission area 11 includes Thuong Tin and Phu Xuyen districts.

The 12th grade enrollment area includes Ung Hoa and My Duc districts.

The division of enrollment areas aims to ensure the most favorable conditions in terms of administrative boundaries, helping students not to have to travel too far to go to school.

Based on specific conditions of geographical location and academic ability, students choose schools to register for appropriate admission wishes.

The 10th grade entrance exam for public high schools in Hanoi for the 2025-2026 school year will take place on June 7 and 8 with three subjects: Math, Literature and Foreign Language.

This school year, each student can register to apply to a maximum of 3 public high schools, ranked in order of preference 1, preference 2 and preference 3. Of which, preference 1 and preference 2 must be in the prescribed enrollment area, preference 3 can be in any enrollment area.
