Ho Chi Minh City National University has just coordinated with the Ministry of Science and Technology to organize a seminar on "Guidelines for developing proposals for tasks under the National Key Science and Technology Program" (Program KC-4.0).
According to Associate Professor Dr. Lam Quang Vinh, Head of the Science and Technology Department (Ho Chi Minh City National University), in its development strategy, Ho Chi Minh City National University focuses on the core tasks of interdisciplinary topics, serving the national strategy, and solving local problems. The KC4.0 program is completely consistent with the development strategy of Ho Chi Minh City National University and hopes that businesses will accompany and cooperate with scientists to carry out topics under this program.
Professor Nguyen Thanh Thuy, Deputy Director of the KC4.0 Program, informed that the program aims to implement the Prime Minister's directive on enhancing the capacity to access the 4th industrial revolution. The goal of the program is for scientists and experts to master the development and transfer of key technologies of Industry 4.0.
From there, develop products and services that promote digital transformation, socio-economic development, and ensure national defense and security. The content of the program will focus on researching, applying, developing and transferring key technologies of industry 4.0, such as artificial intelligence, big data analysis, microchip design, 5th generation mobile networks, cloud computing, etc. Thereby, creating products in healthcare, tourism, finance - banking, agriculture, processing and manufacturing industry, education - training, national defense, security, etc.
The representative of the Ministry of Science and Technology said that the proposed tasks for the KC4.0 Program will be prioritized for proposals with products that can be directly applied in life, have a spread in society; commit to registering intellectual property and inventions; ensure coordination between research institutes, universities and science and technology organizations and enterprises. In particular, the proposals must have coordination with innovative startups to support and perfect technology; innovate and deploy management, production and business models in priority and important areas.
