(CLO) Two people were killed and six others injured when a small plane crashed into a bus on a busy avenue in Sao Paulo, Brazil on Friday, according to the local fire department.
The accident happened at around 7:20 a.m. local time Friday along Avenida Marquês in the coastal district of Barra Funda.
Two bodies were found charred in the fuselage of the plane, according to local authorities. Emergency services rescued five people, according to Lieutenant Jefferson de Souza.

The small twin-engine King Air plane took off from Campo de Marte Airport on Friday morning, but the control tower lost contact with the plane minutes before it crashed.
Local authorities said the plane crashed on the Marques de Sao Vicente boulevard and hit the bus. Footage of the aftermath on Friday showed plumes of black smoke and bright orange flames rising over the highway.

"Unfortunately, we start the day with this tragic plane crash," Sao Paulo Governor Tarcisio de Freitas wrote on social media, adding that the victims included the plane's captain and co-pilot.
