This morning, August 23, at the solemn meeting of the 18th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) of Hanoi City, term 2024-2029, the Central and City leaders presented noble awards to the collective of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the City and the Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the City.
In particular, with the important and great contributions to the cause of building and developing the capital of the City Fatherland Front, on August 21, 2024, the President decided to award the First Class Labor Medal to the collective of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi City for their outstanding achievements in work, contributing to the cause of building socialism and defending the Fatherland.
In addition, to recognize the achievements in the 2019-2024 term, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front issued Decision No. 2652/QD-MTTW-UB dated August 14, 2024 on awarding the Certificate of Merit of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to the Hanoi City Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and Ms. Nguyen Lan Huong - Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, President of the Hanoi City Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee for outstanding achievements in the work of the Front in the 2019-2024 term.
At the Congress, on behalf of 145 members who were recently elected by the Consultative Congress to join the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi City, term XVIII, 2024-2029, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi City Nguyen Lan Huong affirmed: joining the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi City, term XVIII is an honor associated with a great responsibility towards the entire political system and all classes of people of the city.
“We promise to unite and work together to successfully implement the Resolution of the 18th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Hanoi, term 2024-2029. The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city hopes to continue receiving the coordination of member organizations, agencies, units and support from all walks of life in the capital to continue promoting patriotic emulation movements and campaigns, building the Party and building an increasingly clean and strong government, contributing to building a rich, beautiful, civilized, cultured, modern and happy capital,” said Ms. Nguyen Lan Huong.
In her closing speech at the Congress, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi Nguyen Lan Huong affirmed: After three days of urgent and exciting work, with a high sense of responsibility, the 18th Congress of Vietnam Fatherland Front of Hanoi, term 2024-2029, has completed its content and program and achieved the set goals and requirements.
With the spirit of "Solidarity - Democracy - Responsibility - Creativity - Development", the Congress discussed and approved the summary report of the work of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Hanoi, term XVII; the direction, tasks, and action program of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Hanoi, term XVIII, 2024-2029; and passed the Congress Resolution. These are important documents, focusing the intelligence not only of the Front system but also of the entire political system and all classes of the Capital's people.
The Congress Presidium also received many presentations from delegates attending the Congress. These are dedicated, responsible opinions and practical contributions to building the Great National Unity and innovating the working methods of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in the city in the new period.
In particular, the Congress seriously accepted the opinions and directions of Politburo member, Party Central Committee Secretary, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee Do Van Chien and Politburo member, Party Secretary, Head of the Hanoi National Assembly Delegation Bui Thi Minh Hoai; and opinions and directions of Party Central Committee member, Deputy Party Secretary, Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh on the coordination of activities between the People's Committee and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city, to supplement the action program for the 2024-2029 term.
The congress elected 145 members to the 18th term Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi City, 2024-2029 term, along with 20 official delegates and 2 alternate delegates to attend the 10th National Congress of Vietnam Fatherland Front.
According to the Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the City, the success of the 18th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Hanoi City marks a new development period of the City Front. The end of the Congress is also the beginning of the implementation of the contents of the action program of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of the City for the 2024-2029 term. The task of each delegate attending the Congress as well as each member of the Front is to actively propagate, mobilize, and be a typical example in implementing the Congress Resolution with specific actions, from the smallest things, of practical significance to build an increasingly strong national Great Unity bloc.
“The Congress calls on all classes of people to actively respond to patriotic emulation movements and campaigns launched by the Vietnam Fatherland Front of the City, contributing to building a civilized, modern, and happy Capital. It is recommended that the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels of the City, together with the Party Committee, government, and people, prepare well for conditions, actively participate in implementing political tasks to achieve achievements in celebrating the anniversaries of the Capital and the country, towards the 10th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front,” Ms. Nguyen Lan Huong stated.
