This morning, November 25, the Steering Committee of the Campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods" in Hanoi City held a Conference to approve the results of the voting program "Vietnamese goods loved by consumers" in 2024.

Research to adjust many new contents and indicators

According to the Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade, implementing Plan 459/KH-BCDCVĐTP dated March 11, 2024 of the Steering Committee of the Campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods" of Hanoi City on organizing the voting program "Vietnamese goods loved by consumers" in 2024, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the City - the standing agency of the Steering Committee of the Campaign and the Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade - the implementing unit, have deployed many practical activities in the city.

The program was organized and implemented by the Department in coordination with departments, branches, People's Committees of districts, towns, associations and unions from July 2024, receiving registrations from nearly 200 enterprises. After reviewing the documents, the Program selected 276 products from 142 enterprises that met the conditions and criteria to participate in the voting.

After the process of summarizing consumer votes and scoring by the Jury, the results showed that 150 products and services of 142 enterprises in 18 product and service groups were recognized by the City's CVĐ Steering Committee as TOP Vietnamese products loved by consumers in 2024. Of which, Top 1 has 25 products, Top 2 has 35 products, Top 3 has 40 products, Top 4 has 50 products.

The ceremony to honor "Vietnamese products loved by consumers" in Hanoi in 2024 will be held on the evening of November 28, 2024 at Trinh Cong Son walking street square, Tay Ho district.

The representative of the Department of Industry and Trade assessed that this year's voting program has inherited and promoted the experiences and successes of previous organizations, and at the same time, researched and adjusted many new contents and criteria in the implementation and evaluation of participating products and services in a more objective, strict and appropriate manner.

With hundreds of products and services certified and honored each year, it can be affirmed that the Program is an important activity of the City in building culture and consumption habits of Vietnamese people with Vietnamese goods, connecting supply and demand, promoting production and consumption of Vietnamese goods in the market.

Be thoughtful in implementing each voting content

At the conference, representatives of the units gave their opinions and contributions to the implementation of the "Vietnamese Products Loved by Consumers" voting program as well as the organization of the "Vietnamese Products Loved by Consumers" honoring ceremony in 2024.

Notably, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the City, Nguyen Sy Truong, said that this year, the propaganda work for the campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods" of the City was better, but through the recent inspection of the City Steering Committee, it was shown that there were still districts that did not have any products participating in the Program. This was due to a number of reasons, including the propaganda work was not thorough and did not reach the target, so the City Steering Committee for the Campaign as well as the districts and towns need to promote wider and closer propaganda, especially promoting the role of the Campaign Steering Committee, the unit in charge of the Program.

Deputy Director in charge of the Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade Nguyen Kieu Oanh acknowledged the opinions from the units and affirmed that the Department will study to immediately complete the entire content of the 2024 Honoring Ceremony program, such as: adding booths, reports and art programs with a rehearsal in which the City's CVĐ Steering Committee has contributed opinions to help the unit organize better...

Expressing his hope that Hanoi businesses will continue to find solutions to maintain and provide more good products to consumers, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee for Mass Mobilization Vu Ha also suggested that the organization of the Honoring Ceremony needs to be reviewed in the end to avoid unnecessary confusion. At the same time, businesses and units need to find solutions to make it easier for consumers to find good products when they want to buy.

Through the opinions exchanged at the conference, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi Nguyen Lan Huong praised the efforts of the members of the Steering Committee of the "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods" campaign in Hanoi, with the number of participating enterprises and the number of votes this year increasing. In particular, the Department of Industry and Trade played its role well; member organizations actively promoted and voted for more members and union members to participate, with many large enterprises.

However, the Head of the City's Steering Committee for the Promotion of Vietnamese Products suggested that after each year of organization, the City's "Vietnamese Products Loved by Consumers" Honoring Ceremony should have new features so that businesses coming to the program can truly find it attractive. Therefore, from the City's Fatherland Front, the Department of Industry and Trade to member units need to actively think and research solutions.

Regarding the limitations of the "Vietnamese Products Loved by Consumers" voting program, the Head of the City's Promotion Steering Committee stated that although the propaganda work has been tried, it has not yet achieved its goal, with the rate of enterprises participating in the voting not being high, including not many key products. Hanoi has many craft villages but only 23 OCOP products have participated in the program, although not every craft village has only one of these products. Along with that, currently, high-quality service enterprises are concentrated in Hanoi but the number of participants is not diverse in terms of types.

“From next year, the City’s “Vietnamese Goods Loved by Consumers” Honoring Ceremony will honor products that have participated in the Program for 15 consecutive years, whether they have won awards or not. The Steering Committees of the Campaign from the City to the Districts need to uphold their responsibilities and try to invite many businesses with Vietnamese brands to participate in the Program; at the same time, clearly define the roles and responsibilities of the affiliated agencies and units. Be careful and thoughtful in implementing each content of the Voting Program to ensure the meaningful purpose and best organization of the Honoring Ceremony,” the Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee emphasized.
