On the evening of March 22, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended the closing ceremony and award ceremony of the 42nd National Television Festival in Quy Nhon city, Binh Dinh province.

Speaking at the event, the Prime Minister hoped that television workers would create many attractive, in-depth programs with humanistic values, vividly reflecting the breath and rhythm of life; have the power to spread and inspire; take the audience as the center, develop breakthroughs and integrate deeply into the world.

The 42nd National Television Festival took place from March 19 to 22, organized by Vietnam Television in collaboration with Binh Dinh Province. The festival had 100 units submitting 734 entries in 11 categories.

The television festival not only honors outstanding works but is also an opportunity for television producers to exchange and learn, contributing to improving the quality of Vietnamese television.

The 42nd National Television Festival attracted many outstanding activities: Exhibition of "Television Technology", Photo Exhibition with the theme "Television Workers", visiting famous landscapes of Binh Dinh...

Notable are two thematic seminars: "Skills of television journalists in the digital environment" and "Data mining and artificial intelligence applications for digital transformation for television stations."

Within the framework of the Festival, the Organizing Committee implemented a number of sideline activities in Binh Dinh province: Free screening to help detect congenital heart disease early for children under 18 years old; Inauguration and handover of 10 houses, 3 schools and construction of 2 bridges with a total value of nearly 4 billion VND; Giving away televisions and savings books to poor households and scholarships to students in difficult circumstances.

At the 42nd National Television Festival, the Organizing Committee awarded 54 Gold prizes, 98 Silver prizes, 223 Encouragement prizes and 3 individual prizes in 11 categories including: Children's Programs, Documentaries, Reports, Short Reports, Science and Education Programs, Dialogue-Talk Shows, Ethnic Minority Language Television Programs, Music and Dance Programs, Stage, Television Feature Films and Videos on Digital Platforms.

At the closing night, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh awarded Gold Prizes to authors and works that won Gold Prizes in various categories of the Festival.

Speaking at the closing ceremony, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh congratulated the success of the 42nd National Television Festival and hoped that the next Festival would be of higher quality and efficiency. The Prime Minister expressed his joy at being present in the coastal city of Quy Nhon, beautiful Binh Dinh province - a land of heroic martial arts and profound poetry, known as "the land of martial arts and the land of literature", to attend the Closing Ceremony and Award Ceremony of the Festival - an event taking place on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Binh Dinh province - a heroic milestone for the army and people of Binh Dinh.

According to the Prime Minister, 2025 is a year of special significance for the country of Vietnam, a thousand years of civilization and heroism, as well as for the country's press and television - the year of the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day, and the 55th anniversary of the first television program broadcast.

In that joy, the 42nd National Television Festival is not only a career festival, but also a place where passion, dedication, innovation, creativity and a high sense of responsibility to the Fatherland and the people converge.

The Prime Minister assessed that the 42-season journey of the Festival is a journey of tireless dedication, burning passion, unlimited creativity, strong innovation, and constant progress. From having only a few genres and participating units, the Festival has now become a prestigious, large-scale playground, comprehensively and promptly reflecting all aspects of social life, contributing to creating creativity and innovation of the Vietnamese television industry in the cause of building and defending the socialist Vietnamese Fatherland.

The Prime Minister expressed his deep impression of this year's entries - diverse, rich, profound, full of humanity and full of the breath of life and the country. Behind each frame, each film is sweat, tears, intelligence, dangerous journeys, a warm heart, the creative intelligence of the profession, always concerned with the noble mission of creating motivation and inspiration for the community, for society, for the country and the heroic Vietnamese people and our beloved international friends.

On behalf of the Party and State leaders, the Prime Minister warmly congratulated the collectives and individuals who participated and won prizes at this year's Festival - people full of creativity, enthusiasm and dedication.

On this occasion, the Prime Minister highly appreciated Vietnam Television's official launch of a system for measuring and analyzing viewer data based on big data - an important technological step forward, affirming the determination to make television based on science and technology, innovation and strong digital transformation, serving the audience and people better, more accurately, effectively and promptly.

According to the head of the Government, television is not simply a medium of communication, but the heartbeat of people, the breath of social life, and the voice of the times.

In the period when the country is changing strongly, entering a new era, building a rich, civilized and prosperous country, the role of the press and television is even more important: Being a bridge between the Party, the State and the people; arousing trust and aspiration to contribute; spreading noble and profound human values, good feelings and promoting the spirit of great solidarity, compatriotism and national love.

Besides, the television industry is facing many big challenges: The increasingly high and diverse tastes, demands and requirements on multiple platforms of the audience; the rapid development of science and technology, especially digital technology.

In order for national television to develop to new heights, the Prime Minister suggested and expected the television industry to continue to innovate and make breakthroughs with the spirit of: New thinking, new ways of doing things, looking far and wide, thinking deeply, doing big - proactively mastering technology, anticipating modern multimedia communication trends; fully conveying information, messages, policies, guidelines, and policies of the Party, State, and the aspirations of the people; continuing to be the main information channel, conveying the policies and guidelines of the Party, State, and Government in all fields of the country to the people in the most truthful, impartial, transparent, complete, and comprehensive way; all for the benefit of the nation, the people, and the people; creating many attractive, in-depth programs with humanistic values, vividly reflecting the breath and pulse of life under the leadership of the Party, the management of the State, and the participation of the people; have the power to spread, create strong, widespread and effective motivation and inspiration for the entire Vietnamese people, civilized, cultured and heroic throughout history; promote digital transformation, develop a multi-platform television ecosystem, focusing on the audience; wholeheartedly serve the Fatherland and the people; organize and rearrange the apparatus scientifically, streamlined, strong, efficient, effective and efficient in the spirit of Resolution 18 of the Central Committee for breakthrough development and deep international integration.

In the new development stage, the Prime Minister hopes and believes that the television industry will continue to maintain its professional identity, form a national digital television ecosystem, open up new creative and development spaces, and make stronger breakthroughs for the goal of a rich people, strong country, democracy, fairness, and civilization.
