The Gifted High School has just announced its 10th grade enrollment plan for 2025. With a total enrollment target of 595 students nationwide, the school will allocate them into specialized classes corresponding to 2 learning facilities:
District 5 campus has a total of 245 students, divided into 7 specialized classes, each class has no more than 35 students: Math (1 class), Information Technology (1 class), Physics (1 class), Chemistry (1 class), Biology (1 class), English (1 class) and Literature (1 class). Specialized classes at District 5 campus will focus on training in-depth knowledge of specialized subjects, improving logical thinking skills, combined with STEM educational activities, experiential activities and career guidance in the orientation to become an expert in a specific field related to the subject.
Thu Duc campus with a total enrollment of 350 students, including 10 specialized classes oriented towards interdisciplinary fields: Mathematics (2 classes), Information Technology (1 class), Physics (1 class), Chemistry (1 class), Biology (1 class), English (2 classes) and Literature (2 classes). The specialized classes at this campus will focus on training interdisciplinary thinking skills with a foundation of specialized subjects in solving problems in the fields of Natural Sciences & Technology and Social Sciences such as: natural sciences, life sciences, computers, business and management, technology, engineering, languages, culture, economics, politics, society, ... combined with experiential activities to orient related careers.
Candidates registering for the school entrance exam must take 4 compulsory exams. These include 3 general exams: Math, Literature and English and 1 specialized exam in the following subjects: Math, Information Technology, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Literature and English.

According to regulations, each candidate can register for a maximum of 02 specialized subjects in the elective specialized subject exam. In case of registering for 02 subjects, candidates must ensure to choose 01 subject in each of the following groups: Math - Literature or English - Physics - Chemistry - Biology - Information Technology.
Regarding the exam, the non-major exam includes both essay and multiple choice parts. The specialized exam is in essay format. The exam score is calculated on a 10-point scale, the non-major exam score is calculated with a coefficient of 1, the specialized exam score is calculated with a coefficient of 2.
The school only includes candidates in the list of successful candidates for specialized classes when they meet the following conditions: Participate in all required exams including 03 non-specialized exams and at least one specialized exam; Do not violate the regulations in the entrance exam; All exams of the corresponding admission group have a score greater than 2; Meet the standard score decided by the Admissions Council.
Each candidate must register at least 01 wish (NV). The registered NV must satisfy the condition that the specialized classes use the admission subject combination corresponding to the exam subjects the candidate has registered for. In case the candidate registers for a specialized class with an admission subject combination that does not match any exam subject combination the candidate has registered for, that wish is considered invalid. Invalid wishes will not be counted in the school's admission process.
Candidates are considered equally based on exam results, regardless of the priority order of their registered wishes. At the same time, candidates are only admitted to the highest priority wish in the list of registered wishes. Classes are considered based on subject combinations with specific quotas as follows:

The school's admissions board will announce the candidates' exam results and admission scores for each class within 15 working days from the last exam date. The review process will be carried out within the next 7 working days.
Previously, two specialized schools, Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted and Tran Dai Nghia High School for the Gifted, planned to increase enrollment quotas for specialized 10th grade classes in the 2025-2026 school year. Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted plans to increase enrollment quotas by 35; Tran Dai Nghia High School for the Gifted plans to increase enrollment quotas by 70. The remaining specialized schools currently have no enrollment information for 2025.
