"Fragrant clouds across life" - Connecting young people with Tea Heritage and culture
Vietnamese costumes have profound historical and cultural values, reflecting many characteristics. Within the framework of the event, the ancient costume performance "Following the Golden Thread" took place, introducing to the audience the beauty of ancient Vietnamese costumes through many periods. The show is divided into 3 chapters with costumes: Ly - Tran, Le Trung Hung, Nguyen with about 30 designs, realistically depicting traditional costumes through the periods with the hope of connecting the golden thread of quintessence that is still flowing in Vietnamese culture. The Nhat Binh Ao Dai was the royal dress for queens, concubines, palace maids and princesses during the Nguyen Dynasty. The dress had a large rectangular collar, two flaps tied with strings to form a rectangle in front of the chest, hence the name Nhat Binh. The body of the dress was lavishly decorated with circular patterns such as phoenix nests, flowers and leaves, the words Phuc and Tho, and embellished with glitter. The patterns were delicately arranged, showing the rank and position of the wearer. Participating in the performance of Ly - Tran dynasty costumes with a white yếm shirt inside, two giao linh shirts and an additional áo đào khen shirt outside, Ms. Nguyen Phuc Hoang Anh shared: ''I am extremely proud to wear the traditional costumes of my nation, contributing a small part in promoting national culture to other young people''. The image of a strong woman in a warrior's outfit was inspired by the poem of Do Chieu and the talented and beautiful heroines who appeared throughout Vietnamese history. The cross-collar shirt is loosely sewn, with slits on both sides, wide sleeves, and a long body that reaches to the heels. The five-panel dress was once an indispensable national costume of the Nguyen Dynasty. The costume consists of two pieces of fabric sewn together into a front panel in a discreet style. The four outer panels symbolize the four parents: one’s own parents and the parents of one’s loved ones, the fifth panel represents the wearer. The dress always has five buttons, representing human morality: humanity, righteousness, propriety, wisdom, and trustworthiness. Le Dynasty dress with closed collar and stones around the neck, especially the dress belt has lotus bud strips hanging down to the skirt in layers with eye-catching iridescent fabric colors. Ancient Vietnamese armor. Closing the costume show with a special dance, Ms. Le Kim Thuy said she was extremely proud to take on this important position. ''As a young person myself, I always want to convey positive messages about the nation's culture to other young people, because culture is the origin of every Vietnamese person,'' Ms. Thuy shared. The audience admired the beauty of Vietnamese traditional costumes. Each costume is not just a simple outfit, but also a vivid work of art, reflecting the history and culture of the nation. In addition, the program also has a space to experience calligraphy, tea making, etc., opening up opportunities for visitors to get closer to the traditional cultural values of the nation. As a passionate researcher of tea and tea culture, Mr. Tran Cong Danh - Head of the Association Connecting Vietnamese Tea Cultural Heritage - Ho Chi Minh City Cultural Heritage Association expressed his desire to spread the good values of Vietnamese tea drinking culture. Mr. Danh said: ''Cultural heritage used to be considered old-fashioned, but today the approach has been renewed. Through being in tune with young people, the current team has used heritage and culture as a bridge, arousing curiosity and creating a deeper interest and connection with tradition. The event May Thom Ngang Doi - Tra and Culture Heritage attracting a large number of young people to participate is a very good sign for connecting young people with national cultural values''. In addition, 10 booths in the fair will open up for visitors to experience the cultural story through the display of industrial products and cultural applications. Mr. Luu Trong Nhan, the program organizer, said: ''All the products on display are not ancient artifacts, but are products created from the perspective and creativity of young people. From materials and inspiration from national culture, young people contribute to making the vitality of national culture increasingly stronger''. The warrior models with meticulously handcrafted armor are referenced from many historical data (excavated archaeological artifacts, paintings, statues, reliefs, etc.). According to Mr. Khang Van (in black), representative of the Vi Cu Viet Nhan group, the hobby of collecting Vietnamese warrior models is still quite strange, almost only attracting customers from abroad. ''Recently, more young people have learned about these models, I am very happy because that shows that they are more interested in the culture of the nation'', Mr. Khang shared. The model of Thai Uy Ly Thuong Kiet with sophisticated armor attracted the attention of many visitors. The fragrant clouds of life - Tea and Culture Heritage is not only an event, but also a journey to recall and preserve the cultural heritage of the nation. Those values are not only present in each artifact, each musical melody, but also permeate the emotions of each participant. The journey connecting the past and the present through the event has created a beautiful mark, arousing national pride, and spreading the message: preserving heritage is not only preserving ancient values, but also nurturing the cultural spirit to pass on to future generations.
