Thanks to the traffic police captain of Ho Chi Minh City Police clearing the way, the seriously ill man was taken to Cho Ray Hospital for timely emergency treatment.
Captain Nguyen Hung Lan, an officer of the Hang Xanh Traffic Police Team, was on duty at the intersection of Le Duan and Le Van Huu on February 28.
At around 2:20 p.m. the same day, Captain Lan, while traveling on Nguyen Binh Khiem Street (Ben Nghe Ward, District 1), noticed a young man driving a 7-seat car approaching for help.
Through inquiries, Captain Lan learned that the car was carrying a seriously ill man who needed to be taken to Cho Ray Hospital for emergency treatment.
Captain Lan grasped the situation, reported it to the unit commander, and at the same time led the car carrying the patient to the hospital. Thanks to the priority car clearing the way, the car carrying the patient arrived at Cho Ray Hospital and was promptly taken to the emergency room by the doctor.
After helping to bring the patient to the emergency room, Captain Lan returned to his original position. The patient's health is currently stable and he is being monitored and treated at the hospital.
