HCMC: 85,558 candidates registered for the 2023 high school graduation exam

At the end of May 13, according to statistics from the Department of Examinations and Education Quality Assessment, Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training, the whole city had 85,558 candidates registered to take the high school graduation exam in 2023.

According to Mr. Vo Thien Cang, Head of the Department of Examination and Education Quality Assessment (Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training), out of a total of 85,558 candidates registered for the exam, there were 3,402 independent candidates.

Compared to the 2022 high school graduation exam, the number of independent candidates increased slightly, by 470 candidates.

This year, the high school graduation exam will take place from June 27 to 30.

At 2:00 p.m. on June 27, candidates will go to the examination sites to complete exam registration procedures, correct any information errors (if any) and listen to the announcement of exam regulations and schedule.

On June 28, candidates will take the Literature and Math exams. The Literature exam will last 120 minutes and the Math exam will last 90 minutes.

On June 29, in the morning, candidates will take one of two combined exams: Natural Sciences (Physics - Chemistry - Biology) or Social Sciences (History - Geography - Civic Education). The time for each component subject in the combined exam is 50 minutes. In the afternoon, candidates will take the Foreign Language exam, with a time limit of 60 minutes.

June 30 is the backup exam date.

According to the Ministry of Education and Training, the 2023 High School Graduation Exam will remain stable compared to previous years. In order to prepare for the exam, the Ministry of Education and Training has adjusted some technical and professional contents to strengthen discipline and order in the exam room, better meeting the requirements for organizing a safe and serious exam.
