Viettel honors global excellence

Viettel's Stars is an annual event organized by Viettel Group, to recognize and reward outstanding collectives and individuals who demonstrate their efforts to overcome their own limits, determination to overcome difficulties, and create value to contribute to Viettel's mission of "creativity for people".

These are also the personnel and units that Viettel assesses as having important contributions to national tasks such as disaster response, science and technology development, artificial intelligence transformation, domestic and foreign business.

Viettel groups and individuals honored at the event

Viettel's Stars program has selected 10 individuals and 10 groups from more than 50,000 Viettel employees to honor. They represent 4 key areas of Viettel Group: Telecommunications; Information technology solutions; Research and production of high-tech industry; Delivery, logistics and trade. Job positions range from staff to team leader, group leader, center director... with the motto that all contributions are duly recognized.

These “stars” have overcome many difficult challenges, accepted new tasks, created different ways of doing things, in line with the culture of quick adaptation, not afraid of change, the spirit of soldiers determined to do their best of the soldiers at Viettel, clearly demonstrating the emulation message of “Joining hands - Resonating values ​​- Creating the future”. Along with the cash reward, each honored individual also received a business trip combined with studying abroad or a domestic training program to continue to improve skills and knowledge.

Speaking at the Viettel's Stars honoring ceremony, Mr. Tao Duc Thang, Chairman and General Director of Viettel Group, emphasized: “Viettel is stronger not because of past victories, but because it is never satisfied with itself, always looking for ways to move forward, go further, do better every day. In 2025, the goals are set: build enough 20,000 5G stations this year; invest in large-scale data centers; be ready to build semiconductor chip factories; master low-altitude satellite technology; new projects on designing and manufacturing high-tech weapons and strategic equipment and many other key programs”.

1. Optoelectronics Center - Viettel High-Tech Industry Corporation : Key force successfully researches, designs and manufactures high-tech weapons products, meeting the strict requirements of high-tech weapon systems.

2. Center C10 - Viettel Aerospace Institute : Excellently completed the tasks of researching, manufacturing, testing, accepting, and producing high-tech defense products.

3. Fixed Broadband Center - Viettel Telecom Corporation : Cumulative service revenue in 2024 reached 16,563 billion VND, an increase of 12% compared to 2023, equivalent to more than 1,700 billion VND.

4. Viettel Dak Lak - Viettel Telecom Corporation : Estimated service revenue reached 1,086 billion VND, leading among Viettel branches in the Central Highlands region. Maintaining the number 1 mobile market share in the area.

5. Telecommunication Infrastructure Project Management Board - Viettel Network Corporation : Completed the deployment of the lightning-fast 5G network, installed and broadcast more than 5,000 5G stations in 1.5 months; contributed to putting Viettel in the top 5% of the most modern networks in the world.

6. M-Mola Company, Movitel - Viettel International Investment Corporation : Rising to the No. 1 position in both revenue and market share of e-wallet services in Mozambique with the E-Mola product. E-Mola's total revenue in 2024 will reach 80.1 million USD, an increase of 88% compared to 2023.

7. Data Analysis Center - Viettel Digital Services Corporation : Develop and operate 15 use cases applying AI to all aspects of operations, implementing the Corporation's important strategy of becoming a digital financial technology company, using technology as a new competitive advantage.

8. Information Security Center - Viettel Cyber ​​Security Company : Key personnel won the championship of Pwn2Own security competition for 2 consecutive years. Deployed many domestic and international information security and security services for major customers in the banking and finance sector.

9. Viettel Post Ben Tre Branch - Viettel Post Corporation : Strong growth rate, up 81.6% compared to 2023. Revenue reached 71.8 billion VND, reaching 132% of the year plan, leading the number 1 market share in the area.

10. Construction Investment Board - Viettel Group's agencies : Propose to competent authorities to remove many mechanisms and policies, creating favorable conditions for production and business activities. Resolutely manage and implement many important projects, including projects to purchase equipment and invest in 5G infrastructure nationwide.

1. Mr. Nguyen Van Hai - Director of Optoelectronics Center, Viettel High-Tech Industry Corporation : The unit's leaders successfully completed production and business tasks, with revenue reaching 564.3 billion VND; completed research on 2 new product lines.

2. Mr. Nguyen Dinh Tinh - Head of Department K3.5, Viettel Aerospace Institute : Excellently completed tasks in research, design, development and completion of high-tech products.

3. Ms. Le Thi Cam Van - Personal Mobile Customer Service Staff, Mobile Center, Viettel Telecom Corporation : Implemented the policy of converting 2G subscribers to 4G, directly resolved questions, contributed to the successful conversion of 8.4 million subscribers, completing 160% of the assigned plan.

4. Mr. William Ladouceur - Team Leader of Digital Team 3, Natcom Company, Viettel International Investment Corporation : In charge of the most complex and dangerous areas in Haiti; directly deploying and connecting cables, restoring BTS stations in conflict areas, contributing to bringing in revenue of 3 million USD/year for Natcom.

5. Mr. Diep Van Trung - Deputy General Director of Corporate Customers, Viettel Peru Company : Led the corporate customer center to complete 158% of the yearly plan, growing 87% compared to 2023. In particular, signed a contract worth 72 million USD with the Peruvian National Police.

Ms. Vu Thi Hanh - Artificial Intelligence Specialist, Viettel Data Service and Artificial Intelligence Center was honored at the event.

6. Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tung - Station Technical Staff, Viettel Construction Corporation : Completed 100% KPI on technical indicators, managed 33 stations located in 8 wards and communes. Ranked first in the country in Viettel station management.

7. Ms. Vu Thi Hanh - Artificial Intelligence Specialist, Viettel Data Service and Artificial Intelligence Center : Head of many topics on artificial intelligence and computer vision that were accepted and classified as Good and Excellent. Won Second Prize in the 24th Military Youth Innovation Award.

8. Mr. Dang Viet Tiep - Sales Specialist, Viettel Enterprise Solutions Corporation : Successfully completed the implementation of the industry data building platform for major banks, bringing in revenue of 86 billion VND, completing 172% of the yearly plan.

9. Ms. Nguyen Thi Le Thu - Director of Phu Tho 21 Supermarket, Viettel Trading and Import-Export Company : Operating the supermarket with the largest revenue in the system, achieving revenue of 78.2 billion VND, completing 118% of the plan; profit reached 3.8 billion VND.

10. Mr. Huynh Thanh Tuyen - Team Leader, Viettel Dong Thap Construction Branch, Viettel Construction Corporation : The number of kilometers served in absolute safety in 2024 is 38,945 km; directly participating with technical staff to overcome the consequences of storm Yagi in Hai Phong, contributing to revenue growth for the unit through the method of spreading sales and introducing customers.
