Donald Trump has just become the longest US president to give his first speech to Congress since 1981.
At 9:00 p.m. on March 4, US time (9:00 a.m. on March 5, Vietnam time), President Donald Trump delivered his first speech before both houses of Congress since taking office on January 20.
A large number of guests and congressmen from all parties in the US Congress were present in the auditorium to listen to Mr. Trump's speech.
Although the speech was not finished, Mr. Trump made his mark by becoming the person with the longest speech in the history of the first speeches to Congress by US presidents since 1981.
According to CNN statistics, Mr. Trump spoke for more than 1 hour and 39 minutes, surpassing the previous record set by President Bill Clinton in 1993 (1 hour and 5 minutes). In 2017, when he first became the owner of the White House, Mr. Trump gave an official speech that lasted exactly 1 hour before the US Congress.
