Amid escalating global trade tensions, with 25% import tariffs on goods from Canada and Mexico, 20% on goods from China, and growing economic uncertainty, gold continues to assert its role as a safe haven asset.
In the domestic market, the price of SJC gold is likely to increase by about 100,000 - 200,000 VND/tael in both buying and selling directions, bringing the buying price to 97,900 - 98,000 VND/tael and the selling price to 99,900 - 100,000 VND/tael in the morning trading session on March 21. The price of PNJ gold and other types of jewelry gold may also increase accordingly, ranging from 98,200 - 98,300 VND/tael (buy) and 100,000 - 100,100 VND/tael (sell). Investors should closely monitor geopolitical developments and trade policies to make appropriate decisions.
