(NADS) - "Leadership and management of culture and arts after 50 years of national unification, innovation and development: Practice and issues of concern" is the theme of the training conference organized by the Central Council for Theory and Criticism of Literature and Arts, opening on August 20 in Hanoi.
This is an annual activity of the Central Council for Theory and Criticism of Literature and Arts to help leaders of the Provincial and Municipal Party Committees' Propaganda Departments in charge of culture and arts; state management officials on culture and arts; leaders of central and local literature and arts associations; theoretical and critical researchers; reporters and editors of press agencies and publishing houses; lecturers of universities and colleges training in literature and arts... consolidate and grasp the viewpoints and guidelines for the development of culture, literature and arts of the Party and State in response to practical requirements, thereby creating profound changes in this field.
This conference has nearly 200 trainees, representing units, provinces, cities in the Northern region and some provinces in the Southern region participating in the training. Of which, Hanoi has 10 trainees.
In his opening speech, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen The Ky, Chairman of the Central Council for Theory and Criticism of Literature and Arts, emphasized that the training conference on "Leadership and management of culture and arts after 50 years of national reunification, innovation and development - Practices and issues of concern" aims to implement Plan No. 390-KH/BTGTW, dated November 15, 2023 of the Central Propaganda Department on organizing activities to summarize 50 years of Vietnamese literature and arts after the country's reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025) and the guidance of the Central Propaganda Department on implementing Conclusion No. 84/KL/TW of the Politburo on Continuing to implement Resolution 23-NQ/TU on building and developing literature and arts in the new period.
“After summarizing 15 years of implementing Resolution 23-NQ/TW of the Politburo (10th tenure) on continuing to build and develop literature and arts in the new period, on June 21, 2024, the Politburo issued Conclusion No. 84-KL/TW on continuing to implement Resolution No. 23-NQ/TU. The birth of this Conclusion not only demonstrates the deep interest of the Party and State in the field of culture and arts, but also reflects the dynamism, richness, and novelty but also certain complexities, especially the negative impacts of the market mechanism; of the process of strong and extensive international integration; of the digital transformation process; of artificial intelligence (AI). The new period requires propaganda, cultural, artistic, educational and training agencies, press and publishing agencies to further strengthen theoretical research and systematically and in-depth practical summaries to further enhance the effectiveness of consulting and advising the Party and State at all levels to improve their leadership, direction and management capacity, in order to strongly and firmly develop the country's literature and arts in the coming years," Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen The Ky emphasized.
During the 3-day training, the trainees will study 5 topics: "Continuing to implement Resolution No. 23 - NQ/TW of the 10th Politburo and Conclusion No. 84-KL/TW of the 13th Politburo on Continuing to build and develop literature and art in the new period"; "Literature and art after 50 years of national reunification, innovation and development: Achievements, issues and development orientations"; "Literature and art with the development of cultural industry in Vietnam"; "The role of architecture in Vietnam with the development of the country - Current trends of innovation and integration"; "Vietnamese literature and art abroad with the mission of healing, connecting and promoting cultural and artistic values in Vietnam".
After Hanoi, the Central Council for Theory and Criticism of Literature and Art will organize a training conference for students from units and southern provinces and cities in Quy Nhon (Binh Dinh).
