With the help of her teammates, Ms. Loi regained consciousness, but after the incident, she did not feel hungry nor did she want to eat anything. Fearing that it would affect her health, her teammates mixed sugar water for her to drink.

Many years later, Mrs. Loi's eating habits became erratic because she did not feel hungry nor did she want to eat. This woman mainly ate fruit. From 1970 until now, she has eaten almost nothing, only drinking water.

According to Mrs. Loi, since being struck by lightning, she has not eaten anything, has not felt hungry, and has felt nauseous when smelling food. She does not know why, and it has been more than 50 years now. She did not eat, so when she gave birth to her 5 children, she had no milk and had to ask for milk from others. Every day, she still cooks for her children, but she herself does not eat. Now that her children work far away, she does not cook anymore.

Curious about Mrs. Loi’s story, many people have come to this woman’s house to find out. Since her children went to work far away, the cooking area at Mrs. Loi’s house has been covered with dust, the gas stove is covered and unused, and the refrigerator is filled with mineral water and soft drinks, without any food.

Ms. Loi also said that her life depends on a monthly allowance of about 1.3 million VND, mainly used to buy water, the rest is used for charity. Although she has only drunk water and not eaten for decades, Ms. Loi asserts that she is in good health and has no illnesses.

Regarding the story of the woman who did not eat, only drank water, Mr. Tran Van Thanh, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Loc Ninh Commune, said that it was not possible to confirm whether Ms. Loi ate or drank. The story was just a rumor of the people and no one had verified it.

Local government representatives during their visits also found that Mrs. Loi's house was full of water bottles and the kitchen stove seemed unused.

According to Mr. Thanh, Ms. Loi was very welcomed by the local authorities when she volunteered to take care of the martyrs' cemetery in Loc Ninh commune.

According to doctors from the Department of Nutrition, Vietnam - Cuba Friendship Hospital Dong Hoi, on social networks, stories have been spread many times about people who have not eaten for decades but still live healthy lives. This is very difficult to verify or clarify the cause.

Regarding the information that Ms. Loi only drank water, including soft drinks, and did not eat, doctors said that, in fact, soft drinks contain sugar, which is a source of energy for the human body. When entering the body, the sugar in soft drinks will be converted into glucose, a natural sugar found in human blood to provide energy for the body to function.

However, drinking too much soft drinks is potentially dangerous to human health, leading to problems such as obesity, diabetes, high blood pressure, cardiovascular diseases...

Doctors warn that Ms. Loi's story is rare and unverified, so people should not try it or follow it, as it could affect their health.
