This afternoon, March 26, in Hanoi, a meeting took place between the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi City (VFFC) and the delegation of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference Committee of Shanghai City, who is visiting and working in Hanoi, led by Vice Chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference Committee of Shanghai City, Wu Xinbao.
Speaking here, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi Nguyen Lan Huong said that in recent years, maintaining and developing the comprehensive strategic partnership and cooperation between Vietnam and China has been a consistent policy, a long-term strategic choice and a top priority in Vietnam's foreign policy.
According to Ms. Nguyen Lan Huong, realizing that the strengthening of experience exchange between the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference organizations has contributed to promoting friendly exchanges between the people of the two countries and localities, in recent times, the Vietnam Fatherland Front in Hanoi has actively implemented many exchange and friendship activities, welcoming 8 delegations of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference to visit and work in the capital Hanoi.
In April 2018, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi welcomed the Shanghai CPPCC delegation to visit and work in Vietnam. The visit opened the way for signing bilateral cooperation between the two organizations. Also during the visit and work of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi in China in May 2018, the two sides signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation for the period 2018-2023 as a basis and foundation for implementing future cooperation activities.
“Based on the awareness of the significance and importance of the Vietnam-China Comprehensive Cooperative Partnership, the Party Committee, government and people of Hanoi always cherish, are proud of and make efforts to continuously consolidate and develop the special relationship between the two countries. Also within the framework of the talks, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi City and the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference Committee of Shanghai City signed an extension of the Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation for the 2024-2029 period.
Expressing his gratitude for the warm welcome and warm welcome from the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi, Vice Chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference Committee of Shanghai, Ngo Tin Bao, affirmed that China and Vietnam are two traditionally friendly neighboring countries.
