Thua Thien Hue discusses solutions for developing heritage economy, green economy, digital economy

The forum was organized by the Hue Monuments Conservation Center in collaboration with the Korean Institute of Architecture and Urban Studies and related units on December 6. The forum was attended by many experts, researchers, representatives of international organizations, and many delegates from departments, branches, and organizations at home and abroad.

The unique combination of heritage types creates opportunities for interwoven development between tourism, culture, education, technology and creativity, not only preserving and promoting heritage but also creating new momentum for socio-economic development.

According to Mr. Hoang Viet Trung, Resolution 175/2024/QH15 on the establishment of Hue City under the Central Government, a typical heritage city of Vietnam, took effect from January 1, 2025, marking an important turning point in the development of Hue City.

"Heritage economy will play a key role in building and developing Hue into a modern, sustainable city in the future, turning historical and cultural values into economic values that will be the source of reviving heritage, contributing in turn to the conservation and promotion of heritage values," Mr. Hoang Viet Trung shared at the forum.
