(Fatherland) - On March 25, Hanoi Department of Tourism reported on the results of tourism management and development in March and the first quarter of 2025, and key tasks in April and the second quarter of 2025.

Accordingly, in March 2025, the total number of tourists visiting Hanoi reached 2.61 million, an increase of 6.8% compared to the same period in 2024. Of these, international tourists were estimated at 709,000 and domestic tourists at 1.91 million, both showing slight growth compared to the same period last year. The increase in tourist numbers also led to an estimated increase in total revenue of VND 10,960 billion, an increase of 8.1%.

In the first quarter of 2025, Hanoi is expected to welcome 7.3 million visitors, an increase of 8.7% compared to the same period in 2024. Of these, international tourists are estimated at 1.85 million, an increase of 17.4% compared to the same period in 2024; domestic tourists are estimated at 5.45 million, a slight increase of 6% compared to the same period in 2024. Total revenue from tourism is estimated at VND 29,930 billion, an increase of 11.3% compared to the same period in 2024.

During the same period, the Hanoi Department of Tourism continued to strengthen its communication efforts with key messages including: Hanoi welcoming approximately 160,000 tourists during the 2025 New Year holiday; Hanoi tourism starting the new year impressively; the Survey Program and Conference "Connecting tourist destinations along the Red River with travel businesses in Hanoi"; Quang Phu Cau - A highlight of the suburban craft village; the Capital's tourism industry preparing programs and activities to attract tourists to Hanoi during the 2025 Lunar New Year holiday; some outstanding activities at tourist attractions in the Capital during the 2025 Lunar New Year holiday; Hanoi welcoming approximately 1 million tourists during the Lunar New Year holiday...

Entering April and the second quarter of 2025, the Hanoi Department of Tourism will continue to develop and implement the plan of tasks and solutions to promote the growth of the Capital's tourism industry in 2025.

Specifically, the focus is on developing plans for the opening and launch of new tourism products: experiential tourism products associated with heritage and historical sites at Ha Mo tourist destination, Dan Phuong district; the "South Thang Long - Hanoi Heritage Route" tourism route in Thanh Tri, Thuong Tin, and Phu Xuyen districts; a community tourism model associated with hands-on experiences of traditional cultural values ​​of ethnic minorities in An Phu commune, My Duc district; and a rural agricultural tourism model in Tich Giang commune, Phuc Tho district.

At the same time, the Department will promote the organization of attractive and unique events and programs to professionally promote tourism in the capital city, such as: Hanoi Tourism Gift Festival 2025, Hanoi Tourism Festival 2025.../.
