The seminar aims to raise awareness among members about the importance of green tourism in sustainable development, associated with environmental protection and preserving local cultural identity; applying technology and new technology applications in management and serving the tourism industry while contributing to the National Tourism Year - Hue 2025. This is a highlight program within the framework of activities to celebrate the 94th anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26, 1931 - March 26, 2025) of the Youth Union of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

Attending and giving a speech at the seminar were Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ho An Phong. Also attending were Deputy Director of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism Ha Van Sieu; Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of the Government Bui Hoang Tung; representatives of the Vietnam Airlines Corporation and representatives of the units under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, along with about 400 members from tourism units, organizations and businesses.
Speaking at the seminar, Deputy Minister Ho An Phong said that in recent years, green tourism development has been oriented in the Party's guidelines, policies and the State's laws. Along with that, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has developed and implemented the Green Tourism Action Program for the period 2023 - 2025, protecting the natural and social environment at key tourist destinations in the direction of "Green, clean, beautiful, civilized and friendly tourist destinations" and promulgating the Vietnam Tourism Marketing Strategy to 2030, which sets out key tasks and solutions, notably innovating and diversifying tourism marketing forms and promoting the application of digital technology.
The Deputy Minister suggested that the seminar should focus on three key factors: raising public awareness of the importance of environmental protection and sustainable tourism development; building smart tourism on the basis of information technology and communications; promoting green tourism destinations and environmentally friendly services, thereby attracting the attention of both domestic and international tourists.

"The young generation will be the ones who directly benefit from the development of sustainable tourism, and are also the key force in promoting the development of green tourism and smart tourism. Young people need to take action and join hands to make tourism an industry that not only brings economic benefits but also sustainable development, protects nature and brings prosperity to future generations," said Deputy Minister Ho An Phong.
Speaking at the seminar, Secretary of the Government Youth Union Bui Hoang Tung expressed his belief that with the creativity, dynamism and enthusiasm of young people, green and smart tourism will not only be a trend, but also become an indispensable part of the Vietnamese tourism industry, contributing to the development of a sustainable tourism industry, creating opportunities for green economic development for the country and the world.
In particular, the Youth Union of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Youth Union of Vietnam Airlines are assigned to take the lead in organizing green tourism activities, playing the role of connecting and promoting initiatives in the youth community. At the same time, the two units are assigned to coordinate with the Youth Union of the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group (VNPT) to implement initiatives to apply science and technology in the tourism sector.
The Youth Talkshow on Promoting Sustainable Tourism - Creating a Green Future includes two sessions: Talkshow "Youth promoting sustainable tourism - Creating a green future" and discussion and dialogue between youth and leaders to raise awareness, roles and responsibilities of individuals in contributing to promoting sustainable tourism.
During the discussion session, many questions from young people were answered by delegates. The issues were clarified one by one, helping the youth union members to have a better understanding of promoting sustainable tourism, green tourism...
Within the framework of the Seminar, in addition to discussion activities and sharing experiences on sustainable tourism, the Seminar also implemented the Social Security Program with the theme "Shining smiles - Warming hearts". This is a practical activity, demonstrating the care and responsibility of union members, organizations and businesses towards the community, especially families in difficult circumstances. These gifts not only bring material value but also are a source of spiritual encouragement, encouraging local people to continue to preserve and promote unique cultural values, contributing to the development of the tourism industry in the regions.
On the same morning, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism chaired and coordinated with the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Vietnam Airlines Corporation and Hue City Youth Union to organize the program "City Melody - Youth Journey".
This is an activity within the framework of the Program "Bringing members to the Traditional Art Theater" in 2025 of the Youth Union of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and at the same time responding to Youth Month (March 26, 1931 - March 26, 2025) and Hue National Tourism Year - 2025.
The program attracted 200 union members and young people from various units to participate in traditional art activities, and was also an important step in raising awareness of the role and value of traditional art forms, including Hue Royal Court Music.
