Determining that infrastructure development in general, and transport infrastructure in particular, is important to promote socio-economic development, especially in attracting investment, in recent years, Lam Thao district has focused on planning, prioritizing resources, and making efforts to complete the transport network. Thereby opening up development space for industries and professions in the area.
The traffic infrastructure system of Son Vi commune has been invested and upgraded to meet the needs of travel and trade in the region.
Coming to Son Vi in March, we were amazed by the changes in a rural area with spacious, modern infrastructure, clear roads, lighting infrastructure, synchronous drainage system... That brought joy, excitement mixed with pride to every radiant face of the people here, adding to the overall picture of the model new rural area.
Comrade Chu Duc Oanh - Chairman of the Commune People's Committee said: Determining that the development of traffic infrastructure plays an important role in promoting the local socio-economy, in recent times, the commune has focused all resources on developing traffic with the motto "The State and the People work together", "using people to propagate and mobilize people" and implementing well the democratic regulations at the grassroots level... Thanks to that, the combined strength of the entire political system has been promoted and all social resources have been mobilized to participate. Up to now, the rate of hardening of commune roads, commune trunk roads, alley roads, and hamlets has reached 100%, the rate of hardening of main roads in the fields has reached over 70%. In particular, most of the commune roads and part of the commune trunk roads have been paved with asphalt concrete, contributing to the convenience of trade, creating a new look and new vitality for the model new rural area.
With the characteristics of a plain district, with a convenient transportation network including roads, railways and waterways, Lam Thao has many advantages in developing agricultural economy, industry - handicrafts, trade and services... To exploit and maximize these advantages, in recent years, the district has determined that transportation must be one step ahead, creating a premise for socio-economic development. The Party Executive Committee issued Resolution 06 on January 8, 2021 on mobilizing resources for infrastructure investment, focusing on urban infrastructure, trade and services in the period of 2020-2025.
Accordingly, every year the District People's Committee determines targets, mobilizes maximum resources, effectively integrates capital sources to invest in infrastructure, including resources for traffic infrastructure development. Actively directs functional departments and offices to focus on quickly resolving administrative procedures related to compensation, site clearance, and land acquisition.
In addition, communes and towns have stepped up propaganda and mobilization to create consensus and support from the people in site clearance work, creating the best conditions for the implementation of construction works to complete on schedule. Thanks to that, in the period of 2020-2025, Lam Thao has completed and put into use a number of important traffic works such as: National Highway 2D, National Highway 32C bypass from Viet Tri city to Phong Chau bridge, the road connecting Hung Temple Historical Site - Phong Chau bridge, the road connecting Phu Tho town with Lam Thao district, the new Phong Chau bridge...
Along with that, the District People's Committee has decided to invest in 158 projects; communes and towns have decided to invest in 32 projects, mainly in transportation, thereby renovating, upgrading and modernizing 215km of roads; 35km of intra-field roads... In addition, the district has provided over 24 thousand tons of cement to support localities in renovating about 112km of rural roads. Up to now, the rate of hardening roads has reached over 96%.
The increasingly synchronous and modern transportation system of Lam Thao district not only meets the needs of goods circulation and travel of the people but is also an important factor attracting investors, contributing to promoting the local economy to develop in a sustainable direction.
