Tonight (September 12), the leader of the People's Committee of An Lao district, Hai Phong city confirmed: Army Major Tang Ba Hung, born in 1978, from Thanh Lang commune, Thanh Ha district, Hai Duong province, had an accident and did not survive while on duty to help people.
Major Hung is a driver of Company 1, Battalion 1, Brigade 653 (Logistics Department - Military Region 3), stationed in the area and living with his family in Truong Son town, An Lao district.
On September 10, the People's Committee of Truong Son town sent a dispatch to Brigade 653 calling for human resources support to overcome the consequences of storm No. 3.
On September 11, the Commander of Battalion 1 sent 6 people, including Major Tang Ba Hung, to carry out a mission in Truong Son town. At 1:45 p.m. the same day, Major Hung and some members of the unit were trimming fallen trees and cleaning up debris when they were electrocuted.
Immediately after discovering the incident, people shouted to cut off the electricity and took the victim to Kien An Hospital for emergency treatment, but Major Hung did not survive.
Mr. Pham Van Tien in Xuan Ang Residential Group, Truong Son Town, directly coordinated with the unit to overcome the consequences after the storm. He shared that in the past few days, Major Hung and the people have worked hard to clean up and overcome the aftermath of the storm. When seeing Major Hung in trouble, the people here were extremely sad and sorry.
Lieutenant Colonel Dinh Gia Thuong, Chief of Staff of Brigade 653, said that Major Tang Ba Hung is an exemplary soldier who always completes his tasks excellently. During stormy days, Major Hung is always ready to fight at the unit. Upon receiving a request for coordination from the People's Committee of Truong Son town, when the unit deployed its mission, Major Hung volunteered with his teammates to overcome the consequences caused by the storm.
