Thanks to the dedication and devotion of the doctors in green uniforms, medical examination and treatment for people in border areas is always timely and effective, thereby contributing to protecting and taking care of people's health.

Having been with the border people in Phu Lam village, Phu Gia commune, Huong Khe district for more than 3 years, Major Hoang Van Khang is not only a dedicated military medical officer but also a relative of the people. Rain or shine, early morning or late at night, whenever a sick person needs help, Major Hoang Van Khang is always ready to be there to examine and dispense medicine.

Phu Lam village, Phu Gia commune, is nearly 20 km from the center of Huong Khe district. The distance is not far, but the mountainous terrain and steep passes make it very difficult for people to travel, especially when people suddenly fall ill or have serious illnesses that need to be transferred to higher levels. Therefore, the Military Medical Station and military medical officers like Major Hoang Van Khang have become a solid support for the people. Every month, the station welcomes from 150 to 180 people for examination and treatment. In addition, military medical officers here also regularly visit people's homes to examine and propagate to people how to prevent epidemics and protect their health.

Military medical staff are always present at families to promptly support people in medical examination and treatment.

The military and civilian medical station at Phu Gia Border Guard Station is one of the 5 medical facilities of the Border Guard on the two borders of Ha Tinh. With the belief of “healthy people, strong border”, officers and soldiers at the military and civilian medical stations on the two borders always strive to care for and protect the health of the people. That is both the duty and the sentiment of the doctors in green uniforms in the remote border areas.

The silent contributions of doctors in green uniforms have brought health, joy and happiness to many people on the two border lines. Thereby, not only helping to strengthen the relationship between the army and the people but also enhancing the image of Uncle Ho's soldiers in the hearts of the people.
