In 2023, the Cam Xuyen District Party Committee promoted the spirit of dynamism, creativity, and strived to achieve positive results in all fields. The work of Party building and the political system continued to have many innovations. The work of inspection, supervision, Party discipline enforcement, internal affairs, anti-corruption and waste prevention were tightened; mass mobilization work, activities of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and mass organizations were strengthened.
In carrying out the socio-economic development task, Cam Xuyen has achieved and exceeded 22/25 targets. Total production value increased by 13% compared to 2022. Average income per capita reached 53.4 million VND/year. Total budget revenue is expected to reach 408 billion VND, exceeding the province's plan by 34.6%, equal to 100% of the district's estimate.
Site clearance for projects is being focused on and directed resolutely. Investment attraction continues to have positive signals. The whole district has 1 more commune achieving model NTM status, 1 commune achieving advanced NTM status, achieving 2/9 criteria for advanced NTM district, 15 more model NTM residential areas and 5 3-star OCOP products.
The cultural and social fields are of interest and have many changes. Cam Xuyen continues to be at the top of the province in terms of mass education quality and key quality. Policies and regimes, care and support for people with meritorious services, social protection beneficiaries and the poor are implemented well and promptly. National defense and security are maintained; combat readiness is implemented, meeting the requirements of national defense tasks in all situations.

In 2023, Nghi Xuan district has gradually overcome difficulties, developed evenly in all fields, and effectively implemented the goals and tasks of 2023. Party building work has been focused on, building action programs and plans to concretize the content of resolutions and directives, ensuring suitability with local realities.
Along with the consolidation and arrangement of the apparatus, the district's personnel work is always given attention. Resolutions, regulations and conclusions on apparatus organization and staff management are seriously implemented, ensuring quality and efficiency. Party member development work is focused on, in the year 123 new party members were admitted, reaching 100% of the target assigned by the province.
The work of inspection, supervision and party discipline has been strengthened, with many innovations, achieving important results. Innovating and improving the effectiveness of mass mobilization work, in 2023, the whole district built 129 "skillful mass mobilization" models. Internal affairs, anti-corruption and negativity work continued to receive attention and achieved important results.
The whole district has 12/14 socio-economic targets achieved and exceeded the set plan. The growth rate of production value reached 9.26%; the economic structure shifted in a positive direction. Average income per capita reached 51.82 million VND, exceeding the plan by 1.82 million VND; total investment capital in the area reached nearly 3,200 billion VND, an increase of 5.26% compared to 2022.
The movement “All people join hands to build Nghi Xuan district to meet new rural standards, build type IV urban areas” has created many clear changes in localities. The whole district has 6 new products recognized as 3-star OCOP.
Total tourist arrivals reached more than 641,000, including 2,934 international arrivals (up 228% over the same period in 2022), reaching 183% of the 2023 plan.
In 2024, the Standing Committee of Nghi Xuan District Party Committee will continue to lead and direct the determination to build an increasingly strong Party organization, while promoting the strength of great national unity to successfully implement the goals of the 2020-2025 term. Focus on directing the completion of the goal of building a district that meets advanced new rural standards and basically completing the goal of a typical model new rural district in terms of culture associated with tourism development in 2024. Mass mobilization work, activities of the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations continue to innovate in content and methods of operation, linking the implementation of the organization's tasks with the key tasks of the town and the grassroots.
The value of some major economic sectors reached 5,025 billion VND, up 6.45% over the same period. Budget revenue in the area reached more than 300 billion VND, up 10.13% over the same period. Total budget expenditure was more than 742 billion VND, up 24.43% over the same period.
The town focuses on directing the improvement of the quality of the criteria for a type III urban area. Up to now, the town has achieved 55/63 criteria for a type III urban area, with a total score of 72.56; approved the Project to build 5 wards meeting civilized urban standards.
The entire town has mobilized resources to support the construction of 61 houses for policy households, poor households, and households in difficult circumstances with a total amount of more than 4.1 billion VND; effectively implementing social security policies. The fields of national defense, political security, and social order and safety in the area continue to be maintained.

At the same time, complete and submit for approval the Project to adjust the town's master plan until 2045 and other plans according to Decision 1363/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister on approving the Ha Tinh Provincial Planning for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050.

Promote investment attraction, develop urban trade and service infrastructure; continue to promote development potential, invest in tourism development infrastructure, strengthen links with travel companies to develop spiritual and cultural tourism in the area.
