On the evening of March 22, thousands of young people in Ho Chi Minh City participated in a flashmob in Vietnamese traditional costumes at the 5th "Blue Hair and Ao Dai" program, taking place on Pham Ngoc Thach Street. This is a key event in the series of activities of the 2025 Youth Festival.
"Blue Hair and Ao Dai" originated from a simple idea in 2021 with the message of bringing Ao Dai into the school environment. After 4 times of organization, the event has developed into the largest traditional cultural festival in the South.
The Vietnamese costume performance combined with flashmob to the song "A Round of Vietnam" attracted thousands of young people, creating a grand atmosphere on Pham Ngoc Thach street on the evening of March 22.
"Every time I wear traditional costumes, I feel proud of the traditional values our ancestors left behind," Hoang Thi Y Nhu (21 years old) shared.
"Green Hair and Ao Dai" is a festival where participants can experience the material and spiritual heritage of their ancestors and learn interesting lessons about traditional Vietnamese culture.

The Nguyen Dynasty's Ao Nhat Binh is one of the most prominent Vietnamese costumes, chosen by many young people at the festival.
The festival also features art performances, reenacting historical stories through dramatization, helping the audience immerse themselves in a proud cultural atmosphere.
The performances in traditional costumes brought the audience many unforgettable emotions about the history of the Vietnamese people.
This is not only a stage for splendid Vietnamese costumes, but also a place where every step on the "catwalk" affirms a strong statement: today's young generation not only inherits the heritage, but also continues to write the cultural story in their own way.
"The actors wearing traditional costumes remind me of the characters I've seen in movies," Ngoc Nhu (20 years old, living in Thu Duc City) shared.
Foreign tourists also participated in the "Green Hair and Shirt" festival on the evening of March 22.
The "Blue Hair and Ao Dai" festival is also a place for young people to immerse themselves in the cultural atmosphere, proudly wear traditional costumes, bring stories of their ancestors as well as make new friends. Through that, the event has become a major annual cultural activity, receiving the anticipation of many hearts who love Vietnamese history.
