Consider recognizing 2 new rural communes and 1 model new rural commune

On the morning of March 20, under the chairmanship of comrade Le Duc Giang, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, the Council for appraisal of communes meeting new rural standards (NTM), advanced NTM, and model NTM in Thanh Hoa province held a conference to appraise communes meeting NTM and model NTM standards in 2024.

Attending the conference were representatives of leaders of relevant departments, branches, sectors and units who are members of the Council for assessing communes meeting the standards of new rural areas, advanced new rural areas and model new rural areas of Thanh Hoa province.

According to the appraisal report, records, and level of meeting the criteria for new rural communes and advanced new rural communes, this time there are 2 new rural communes including: Truong Lam, Tan Truong (Nghi Son town) and 1 model new rural commune: Nga Hai (Nga Son).

The leaders of the Provincial Office of Coordination for the New Rural Construction Program reported the results of the dossier appraisal and the level of meeting the criteria for new rural communes and model new rural areas.

At the conference, members of the Appraisal Council reviewed the documents, assessed the advantages, disadvantages, and contents that the communes need to complete for each criterion. At the same time, 100% of the council members voted to propose recognizing Truong Lam and Tan Truong communes (Nghi Son town) as meeting the NTM standards and Nga Hai commune (Nga Son) as meeting the model NTM standards in the outstanding field of education.

Concluding the conference, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee Le Duc Giang highly appreciated the efforts of localities and sectors in implementing the new rural construction plan in the past time; acknowledged the efforts of the Office of the New Rural Construction Program Coordination and departments and sectors that have closely coordinated in the process of evaluating and selecting communes, preparing documents to propose recognition of meeting new rural standards and model new rural areas.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee affirmed that Thanh Hoa has achieved many outstanding results in the process of building new rural areas and is one of the leading provinces in the country in terms of the number of districts and communes meeting new rural standards at all levels.

To implement the plan to build new rural areas in the coming time, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Office of the Program Coordination to regularly follow the issued plans; coordinate with localities to continue to carry out the task of building new rural areas. Because, despite the change of administrative units at the district and commune levels, the task of building new rural areas is still maintained, "having a starting point, no ending point".

For the communes that have just been considered to meet the new rural and model new rural standards this time, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee assigned the Office of the New Rural Construction Program to coordinate with localities to urgently complete the documents to submit to the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for recognition of communes that meet the new rural and model new rural criteria.
