Women participate in building new rural areas

Implementing the emulation movement "Women actively study, work creatively, build happy families", in recent years, the Women's Union of Cam Khe district has propagated and organized for members and women in the whole district to actively implement the Campaign "Building a family of 5 no, 3 clean" with specific, practical activities, close to the task of socio-economic development, especially associated with the implementation of criteria on building new rural areas (NTM) in the area.

The campaign "Building a family of 5 no's and 3 clean's" aims to improve the knowledge, capacity and responsibility of members, women and union officials at all levels, moving towards implementing the model of "Building a family of 5 yes's and 3 clean's" in communes that meet the standards of new rural areas and advanced rural areas, contributing to building a prosperous, happy, progressive and civilized Vietnamese family. The district Women's Union has closely followed the instructions of the higher levels, proactively developed plans and widely disseminated to all officials and members about the contents of 5 no's and 3 clean's.

To effectively and widely deploy the Campaign, attracting the participation of women's union members, the community and the participation of local Party committees and authorities, the Association has directed the grassroots associations to implement it with specific and practical programs and activities such as: Maintaining and expanding 16 models of women's flower roads, 7 models of women using baskets to go to the market, 30 models of "Green Houses" collecting plastic waste to raise funds to help orphans in especially difficult circumstances. Organizing a green living festival, with the theme "Cam Khe Women - Green Living, Action for a Clean Environment", launching a movement against plastic waste.

Women's Unions at all levels in the district have also actively launched the movement "Women are good at economics", maintaining the movement of helping each other develop the family economy. Up to now, the union fund has lent 819 members a total of 4.5 billion VND; the total outstanding loan balance entrusted through the Women's Union with the Social Policy Bank is 151 billion VND for 3,453 households; 9.2 billion VND from the Phu Tho Province Poor Women Support Fund for 586 members in Cam Khe town, Phu Khe commune... From the loan capital, many members have promoted economic development, improved their lives, maintained production and business models, contributing to the implementation of criteria on income, poor households and production organization in communes in the district.

Promoting the achieved results, in the coming time, the Women's Union at all levels of Cam Khe district will continue to promote the implementation of the campaign through specific activities associated with promoting the emulation movement "Women actively study, work creatively, build happy families" among all women's union members; focus on supporting women with creative ideas, start-up models, and business start-ups. Maintain and expand club models on building happy families, thereby contributing to affirming the role and responsibility of the Women's Union in participating in building new rural areas and civilized urban areas in the area.
