The 3rd National Art Photography Contest "Fatherland on the Shore" 2025 accepts entries until July 10, 2025.

The work Green Energy Spot by author Cao Minh Det (An Giang) won first prize in the single photo contest of the national art photography contest Fatherland on the Shore of Waves 2023.

The national art photography contest "Fatherland on the Shore" is chaired by the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission. The Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists coordinates with other units to implement.

Show love for the sea and islands

This is one of the contests contributing to introducing and promoting the potential, natural beauty and people of Vietnam's seas and islands to people at home and abroad, while affirming sovereignty over the seas and islands.

The 3rd national art photography contest "Fatherland by the waves" is open to Vietnamese citizens aged 15 and over, both domestically and internationally, and foreigners working and living in Vietnam.

The Organizing Committee accepts color or black and white photos. Each author can submit a maximum of 10 works (both single photos and photo series).

For single photos, each photo is a work. For photo series, each photo series is a work consisting of 5 to 8 photos.

If the author submits both a single photo and a photo series, the single photo must not be the same as the photo in the series.

Regarding the creation time, single photo works must be created from 2023 to present. As for photo series works, the organizing committee encourages creation from 2023 to present.

The organizing committee of the 2nd national art photography contest "Fatherland by the Waves" in 2023 received 9,595 entries from 2,590 authors. The number of entries nearly doubled the first season in 2021.

Contest photos taken in 28 coastal provinces and cities

The creative space includes 28 coastal provinces and cities such as: Quang Ninh, Hai Phong, Thai Binh, Nam Dinh, Ninh Binh, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Thua Thien Hue, Da Nang, Quang Nam;

Quang Ngai, Binh Dinh, Phu Yen, Khanh Hoa, Ninh Thuan, Binh Thuan, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Ho Chi Minh City, Tien Giang, Ben Tre, Tra Vinh, Soc Trang, Bac Lieu, Ca Mau and Kien Giang.

The content of the entries revolves around: the natural beauty of Vietnam's seas and islands; the daily life, work and production of fishermen at sea; activities to protect sovereignty over seas and islands; economic, social and cultural works on seas and islands; marine tourism and sustainable development;

Outstanding examples, typical advances in socio-economic development and protection of the country's sea and island sovereignty; application of science and technology in marine economic development and protection of ocean ecosystems; international cooperation activities on sea and island development;

Reflecting important steps in the strategy of developing the marine economy associated with international integration, exploiting sustainable marine resources and affirming the position of a strong maritime nation; the socio-economic development achievements of coastal localities after nearly 40 years of the country's renovation.

The organizers will award two systems of prizes for single photos and photo series.

2 first prizes, each worth 20 million VND; 4 second prizes, each worth 15 million VND; 6 third prizes, each worth 10 million VND; 10 consolation prizes, each worth 5 million VND.
