Dong Thap Electricity Company carries out many activities in response to Earth Hour Campaign 2025

Responding to the Earth Hour 2025 Campaign with the message "Green transition - Green future" (taking place from 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 22, 2025), Dong Thap Electricity Company deployed many practical activities to raise public awareness about saving electricity and protecting the environment.

Dong Thap Electricity Company Youth Union cooperated with Cao Lanh City Youth Union and Tan Thuan Tay Commune People's Committee to plant 1,000 trees on a green, clean, and beautiful road at Tan Thuan Tay Commune Community Learning Center.

Accordingly, from March 20 to March 22, 2025, the Power Companies under the Company will coordinate with the Department of Culture and Information of districts and cities to organize mobile propaganda; contents on electricity saving and Earth Hour 2025 will be posted in newspapers, websites and social networking platforms such as Facebook, Zalo of the Company. The LED screen system at the Company's headquarters, Power Companies and public places in the province will also broadcast propaganda messages, combined with promoting electricity saving programs such as peak hour load shifting (DR).

Dong Thap Electricity Company Youth Union cooperated with Cao Lanh City Youth Union to give gifts to lonely elderly people in Hoa Thuan ward.

In addition to propaganda work, Dong Thap Power Company organized the hanging of banners and posters at its affiliated units, and at the same time launched the online contest "Learn about energy saving in response to Earth Hour 2025", changing the Facebook and Zalo avatar frames to call on the whole population to save energy in response to Earth Hour 2025. The company's affiliated units carried out tree planting activities at the Power Company's campus and coordinated with the locality to plant 1,000 trees on green, clean and beautiful roads, contributing to improving the living environment.

The Earth Hour campaign does not stop at turning off the lights for one hour but also spreads the message of efficient energy use, towards sustainable development. Dong Thap Electricity Company calls on all employees and people in the area to join hands in saving electricity, contributing to environmental protection and responding to climate change.

It is known that in response to Earth Hour 2025, the whole country saved 448,000kWh, of which Dong Thap Electricity Company saved 26,718kWh.
