Recently, SHB has implemented a special support policy for long-term employees who unfortunately suffer from serious illnesses. The leave period with benefits is up to 12 months, helping them to be assured of treatment, reduce financial burden and have more motivation to overcome adversity. This is not only a welfare policy but also a strong affirmation: SHB does not leave anyone behind.

From gratitude programs for long-term employees, activities to honor outstanding individuals and groups, to simple but profound actions such as the tradition of Tet Reunion - SHB's Board of Directors visits the elderly parents of employees every Tet holiday. At the Cultural Festival "Steadfastly Stepping into the New Era" held at My Dinh Stadium on March 15, the parade to show off force was not only an affirmation of SHB's strength and stature, but also a vivid picture of solidarity and attachment. In particular, the Family Support Block, appearing last in the parade, expressed the Bank's deep respect for the relatives of its officers and employees. If SHB is a strong family, that strength originates from each small home - where loved ones always follow, support and motivate.

Stories that touch the heart

There are moments in life that make us realize that, in the most difficult times, just a helping hand, a sincere sharing, can change a whole journey.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, Trinh Thi H's family (Ha Nam) was turned upside down when her husband - the breadwinner of the family - who was also a driver for SHB, passed away from a stroke. The mother of two was in great pain at that time. She did not know how to see her husband for the last time because Hanoi and the northern provinces were implementing social distancing. She had a hundred worries in her heart, not knowing what the future would be like when the whole family only depended on a worker's salary of 6 million VND/month.

In that seemingly desperate moment, SHB was always by Ms. H's family's side. The bank tried every way to help, encourage and support the family both materially and spiritually.

“The bank gave me and my three children a savings book. Without that money, I would not have enough to support my two children. I will try to raise my children to adulthood and will always be grateful to everyone,” Ms. H could not hold back her tears when sharing about SHB’s timely support. More than financial support, it is the heart and sharing of the Bank with employees and their families in the most difficult times.

Ms. Pham Thi M, an officer at SHB's Business Center, had a son who unfortunately had a serious accident, with a disability of 49%. During that difficult time, SHB not only supported the treatment costs but also her colleagues donated and shared with Ms. M's family. It was not only a matter of colleague love, but also of family love.

In the case of Mr. Cu Thanh T's family (Hung Yen), after his death, the family still had to bear the pressure of the previous loan and the living expenses and raising two school-age children every month. Understanding the family's situation, SHB representatives directly visited, encouraged and presented support money from the Love Sharing Fund, SHB Hung Yen Labor Union and the Bank's Board of Directors.

SHB's Heart has touched many employees and their families, reaching out to those in difficult circumstances. Such stories do not stop at financial support, but also symbolize the care, respect and sharing between people.
