The signing ceremony of the cooperation agreement took place under the witness of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Prime Minister of the Republic of Singapore Lawrence Wong, during the official visit to Vietnam of Singaporean Prime Minister Lawrence Wong.

The signing of the Cooperation Agreement between the Tourism Development Support Fund and Grab Vietnam will facilitate the promotion of Vietnam's tourism image to domestic and international tourists and contribute to the digital transformation journey, promoting the sustainable development of the tourism industry.

Within the framework of this cooperation, Grab will become a preferred transportation and e-commerce partner, continuing to make practical contributions to improving the experience of tourists when coming to Vietnam with a seamless service chain from transportation, delivery, ordering food, goods, and cashless payments.

Within the framework of the five-year cooperation, the two sides will focus on key activities such as leveraging technological strengths to promote digital transformation associated with communications and promoting Vietnamese tourism, contributing to making Vietnam one of the priority destinations for foreign tourists, while stimulating domestic tourism. At the same time, the two sides will also promote the cultural values, heritage and cuisine of Vietnam.

The Tourism Development Support Fund and Grab Vietnam plan to work with travel agencies to develop international travel packages on the Grab app to enhance the experience of tourists when coming to Vietnam, while promoting tourism services in clusters of provinces and cities to encourage tourists to visit neighboring localities at the same time.

The two sides also cooperate to promote Vietnamese tourism and the Grab application through domestic and foreign media channels, enhancing public utilities to serve tourists and local people.

Promoting digital transformation to promote local cuisine and specialties:

The two sides will support and guide micro, small and medium-sized businesses to access digital platforms and use digital tools to improve business efficiency, participate in e-commerce activities, and make cashless payments...

In addition, Grab will promote local cuisine both in and out of the app, helping tourists easily access reliable information and have a memorable culinary experience in Vietnam. Typically, in addition to the Grab app, Grab plans to continue promoting local cuisine on GrabCar and sponsor additional benches with QR codes promoting local cuisine at popular tourist destinations. On the Grab app, users can easily find "famous" restaurants on GrabFood and order food with various promotions.

In addition to these key focuses, the Tourism Development Support Fund and Grab Vietnam will also devote resources to enhancing the digitalization of local tourism destinations through new utilities on the Grab platform.
