Kinhtedothi - On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of Hai Phong's liberation, the luxury tourist train named "Hoa Phuong Do" is expected to be put into operation on the Hanoi - Hai Phong route from May 13, 2025.

A tourist route connecting the inner city of two leading cities in Vietnam will have the potential to become one of the most vibrant railway tourist routes in the country.
Not only a means of transportation, the train journey is also an opportunity for visitors to enjoy the unique cuisine of Hanoi and Hai Phong right on the train, and easily join a food tour when arriving in Hai Phong.
There are many restaurants that will participate in the railway tourism program. Tourists using tourist train tickets will receive discounts when using dining, shopping, and resting services. These activities will help the food tour have new vitality, increasing the experience for tourists.
Currently, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Hai Phong is completing the procedures to recognize Hai Phong station as a tourist destination, check-in point, and attractive destination for visitors.
In addition, it is necessary to develop port visit train products, connecting rail tourism with river and sea tourism.
In the long term, the Department plans to select reputable and quality businesses and restaurants to participate in serving on tourist trains and serving tourists when experiencing cuisine in the city; at the same time, organize customer conferences to exploit railway tourism products effectively.
The Department will act as a bridge for travel agencies, tourism businesses, restaurants, hotels, destinations... to connect with each other, creating sustainable development, gradually shifting from budget tourists to middle and high-end tourists, increasing the proportion of international visitors to Hai Phong.
Along with developing railway tourism, Hai Phong will develop river tourism and connect different types of tourism.
In addition to enjoying the cuisine, visitors will have the opportunity to directly experience the process of preparing the dishes, making the journey more vivid and memorable.
During the Red Flamboyant Festival, there is expected to be a food fair of Hai Phong delicacies at Hai Phong station, contributing to promoting the city's culinary culture.
The Department will review food tour participating units, organize training on tourist service methods, and add new restaurants to improve service quality.
