Prime Minister attends inauguration ceremony and inspects key projects
During his working program in Binh Dinh, on the afternoon of March 22, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and the Central Working Delegation attended the inauguration ceremony of the Phu Phong dam project in Tay Son district; inspected the construction progress of the North-South Expressway Project, the section passing through the province; and inspected the implementation of the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in Tay Son district.
Small project, big meaning
Attending the inauguration ceremony of the Phu Phong dam project (Tay Son district), Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized that although the investment capital for this project is not too large, the project is built very beautifully. This project has important significance for the socio-economic development of Tay Son district in particular and Binh Dinh province in general.

The Prime Minister acknowledged and praised the spirit of self-reliance and creativity of the Party Committee, government and people of Binh Dinh in recent years, especially in developing transport and cultural infrastructure as well as irrigation reservoir projects, including the Phu Phong dam.
The Prime Minister requested local authorities to develop a plan for effective and sustainable exploitation of the Phu Phong dam project, including activities such as tourism, flood drainage, water supply for production and daily life, transportation, aquaculture, etc. The authorities must also have a plan for people to participate in tourism exploitation, aquaculture and project protection, in order to bring practical benefits to the community and businesses, so that they can fully enjoy the value that this project brings.
The Phu Phong dam project has a total investment of 738 billion VND from the central and local budgets. The project ensures proactive irrigation water for 465 hectares of agricultural land and the needs for daily life, industrial production, aquaculture, and ecological environment improvement...
Promote the spirit of 3-shift, 4-team construction
Inspecting the actual situation at the tunnel route through Son Trieu mountain (Nhon Hoa ward, An Nhon town), part of package 11-XL of Quy Nhon - Chi Thanh expressway, 1 of 12 component projects of the North - South expressway in the East, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh listened to the progress report of the construction of 2 component projects of the North - South expressway, Hoai Nhon - Quy Nhon and Quy Nhon - Chi Thanh.

The two projects mentioned above have a total length of 134 km, passing through the two provinces of Binh Dinh and Phu Yen. The implementation of the projects has received active support from the province, departments, branches and localities, thanks to which the construction site is favorable and the construction materials are sufficient. Currently, the two projects have reached over 70% of the workload, and it is expected that by September 2, 2025, 110 km will be completed and the remaining 20 km will be completed 1 month later.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh welcomed and commended the efforts of the investor, localities, and contractors and requested the units to promote the spirit of working in 3 shifts, 4 teams, "overcoming the sun, overcoming the rain, not losing to storms", "eating and sleeping quickly", "working during the day, working at night", "going through holidays, Tet, and days off" to ensure the set progress. At the same time, improve the quality, ensure the technical, aesthetic, safety, and environmental sanitation of the project. Thereby, contributing to ensuring the entire North-South expressway from Cao Bang through Lang Son to Ca Mau in 2025, promoting the socio-economic development of the whole country.
The Prime Minister requested that project investors continue to pay attention to ensuring safety and taking care of workers' material and spiritual lives; main contractors need to cooperate and create conditions for subcontractors and local enterprises to develop and grow, so that they can participate in other projects.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh also requested that localities continue to pay attention to the lives of people who have given up land for the project, ensuring that new housing is better than the old one; research and deploy reasonable intersections to maximize the efficiency of the expressway, exploit new development space, calculate and make the most effective use of land funds for industry, tourism, services, etc.
Before May 31, complete the removal of temporary and dilapidated houses.
The Prime Minister, his delegation and provincial leaders visited and presented gifts to Ms. Tran Thi Tam (a near-poor household in Binh Thanh commune, Tay Son district) who is eligible for support to remove temporary and dilapidated houses in 2025, encouraging her and her family to overcome difficulties and strive to improve their lives.
The Prime Minister acknowledged and commended the efforts and results of Binh Dinh and emphasized that, in order to complete the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide in 2025, along with the support of the State, it is necessary to promote the efforts of each household and the support and assistance of relatives, brothers, neighbors, etc. in the spirit of everyone contributing what they have, creating a movement and trend for the poor, for the movement to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses.
In recent times, Binh Dinh province has focused on directing and drastically implementing the phased plan to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses, ensuring that by May 31, 2025, 4,418 temporary and dilapidated houses for policy households, poor households, near-poor households, and newly escaped poverty households will be completed, with a total cost of about 215 billion VND. As of March 18, 2025, the whole province has started construction of new houses and repaired houses, reaching 85% of the plan.
