After 3 years of operation with a modern production line that meets international standards, Hiep Phu VICO Quang Tri Factory has made practical contributions to the local sustainable development goals. This is the 7th factory of Saint-Gobaint in Vietnam, a 360-year-old corporation operating in the field of manufacturing leading lightweight and sustainable construction materials in France.
The year 2025 marks the 5-year milestone (2021-2025) of Quang Tri province implementing the goal of developing the construction industry towards greening. Through Hiep Phu VICO Factory, Saint-Gobain Vietnam has made contributions to the local goal.
In terms of business operations, the factory ensures strict standards, increases both output and quality, and is a pioneer in the production of lightweight and sustainable construction materials. In addition, the enterprise has also created jobs and stable income for hundreds of workers here, while contributing to many meaningful social projects for the community.
Leading provider of lightweight and sustainable building solutions
With a history of business and operations of more than three centuries, present in 79 countries, in Vietnam, Saint-Gobain accompanies localities on the journey of sustainable development, especially in Quang Tri - an area that is growing strongly to help orient the development of a green economy. The most obvious mark of the enterprise here is the presence of Hiep Phu VICO Factory, with a capacity of 5 million square meters of panels/year. In 3 years of operation, the factory has been producing and leading in providing material solutions for ceilings, walls, and floors for provinces in the Central region and beyond.
Inaugurated in May 2022 in Hai Hung commune, Hai Lang district, Quang Tri province, Hiep Phu VICO Factory has a total investment of 220 billion VND.
Hiep Phu VICO factory has a production process that meets the WCM (World Class Manufacturing) quality standards of Saint-Gobain Group globally.
Recently, Saint-Gobain launched 02 new products at the factory: DURAflex® Low Carbon cement board and Vinh Tuong Anh Kim suspended ceiling board. Notably, DURAflex® Low Carbon cement board is the first “green” cement board produced in Vietnam. It is known that Vinh Tuong Anh Kim suspended ceiling floor is also made from this cement board.
The product applies exclusive technology ReinforcementTM and PureFormTM, helping to increase the durability of the material and optimize the microstructure. Thanks to that, investors and construction contractors can shorten the construction time by 1.4 times, saving significant costs. In addition, technological improvements also help the product minimize the impact on the environment, recorded in 2024 such as reusing 15,500m3 of water, saving 34% of energy consumption and reducing 20% of CO2 emissions during the production process.
DURAflex® Low Carbon cement board has 5 times lower edge breakage rate than conventional cement board
These practical contributions are clear evidence of Saint-Gobain Vietnam's commitment to being a leading supplier of lightweight and sustainable building materials. Together, we support customers and partners in Quang Tri province to achieve the Net Zero Carbon 2050 target, leading the trend of sustainable space architecture, bringing green value to each project and community.

In addition to production and business activities, Saint-Gobain Vietnam in general and Hiep Phu VICO Factory in Quang Tri in particular have also contributed to promoting economic development and creating jobs for local people with 97% of the workforce being from Quang Tri. “The factory aims to build a safe and cohesive working environment. In addition, to facilitate the circulation of goods and travel of local people, Saint-Gobain also invested in the road leading to the factory in Tra Tri village, contributing nearly 70% of the total construction cost.
