In the bustling atmosphere of the last days of the year, OCOP producers in the province are focusing on boosting production to supply goods to the Tet market. This is also an opportunity for the strengths and potential products of localities that have been recognized by the province as OCOP products to have the opportunity to expand, contributing to increasing the value of agricultural products in rural areas, creating jobs, improving income and living standards for people.

Grasping consumer trends, entities focus on launching many gift baskets and gift boxes "Tet version" to the market, with diverse designs and products, from candy, tea and wine to dried foods, spices, etc. Many OCOP entities have designed Tet gift baskets themselves from products produced by their establishments, changing their appearance with eye-catching packaging, with names that evoke the spring atmosphere so that customers have more choices.

Ms. Tran Gia Minh Chau, owner of Xu Phan Business (Phan Rang - Thap Cham City) said: For more than a month now, we have been preparing goods to serve the consumption needs of consumers during Tet. Every year, the gift baskets are refurbished with more eye-catching colors and designs. This year, we have added other products to make the gift baskets more diverse. In addition to the two main products, fish sauce and grape wine, which have been certified with 3-star OCOP, the grape wine gift boxes will have 4-6 other products including: Dried grapes, seaweed jam, tragacanth gum, dried apples, dried mangoes, dried pineapples... Depending on each combo with names such as: An Khang, Nhu Y, Cat Tuong, Thinh Vuong, Phuc Loc Tho, Doan Vien... with quite "soft" prices for customers to choose from.

In recent years, consumers have tended to buy local specialties and OCOP products as gifts for Tet instead of choosing luxury gifts such as foreign wine, cakes, and imported fruit jams, which has made the Tet market more diverse and vibrant. Taking advantage of this trend, many entities have collaborated to design gift boxes and baskets to meet the Tet gift-buying needs of local customers and tourists. In particular, combo gift boxes focusing on Ninh Thuan specialties such as: fish sauce, grape wine, asparagus tea, goat meat, smoked lamb, dried grapes, ginseng water, bitter melon tea, honey, engraved melons..., priced from 500,000 VND to less than 2 million VND, have been consumed quite well. To meet the tastes from the common to the high-end, in addition to tea and candy products, many wine producers also upgrade their special products with oak wine barrels, double horse wine barrels with capacities from 3 liters to 10 liters, for customers who want to display in the lobby or living room, both high quality and luxurious.

At the Seamaul Tan Lap 2 Agricultural and Commercial Service Cooperative in Luong Son Commune (Ninh Son), it is currently in the peak period of supplying year-end orders. A representative of the Seamaul Tan Lap 2 Cooperative said: Banana wine and dried bamboo shoots are very popular with customers. In recent years, thanks to the focus on building and promoting product images associated with the OCOP program, the quality of the products has been increasingly improved. To make the products closer to consumers, the Cooperative has launched more pre-processed products such as Phan Rang pickled garlic and sweet and sour pickled bamboo shoots, which have been highly appreciated by customers. These are products made from local ingredients with unique flavors, practical to serve the meals of many families.

Ms. Nhat Quynh in Phu Ha Ward (Phan Rang - Thap Cham City) said: In the past, I often bought Tet gifts such as candy baskets and foreign wine. However, in the past two years, I have had more choices when the market has more gift baskets from OCOP products with diverse designs, much cheaper prices, good quality, elegant and sophisticated design, these products are easy to use, suitable for many subjects. More importantly, when buying OCOP products, I am supporting local specialties and promoting them to many friends outside the province.

At this time, manufacturers are actively preparing goods to meet orders and serve the Tet market. Most OCOP products are displayed, introduced, and sold at stores introducing and selling OCOP products; clean food stores, agents, shopping malls, supermarkets, etc. In addition to traditional sales methods, many businesses are promoting sales methods via e-commerce to increase market access.

With careful preparation, quality improvement, and attention to design by businesses and cooperatives, OCOP products are ready to serve the needs of the year-end consumer market. Thereby, helping people have more opportunities to choose OCOP products with a variety of types, ensuring food hygiene and safety, meeting the needs and tastes of the market during Tet.
